Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

From the cutoff, Jason Mercier opened for 32,000. His neighbor, Enio Bozzano, flat-called before big blind Darren Rabinowitz squeezed to 185,000. With the action back on Mercier, he shoved for what appeared to be 303,000. Bozzano folded, Rabinowitz called instantly.

Darren Rabinowitz: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Jason Mercier: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs} and that was the end of it for the most decorated player left in the field as Jason Mercier is out in 16th place.

Kyle Hartree Eliminated

Kyle Hartree
Kyle Hartree

In the last hand before the break, James Mackey limped in from the small blind with {J-Spades}{5-Spades} and big blind Kyle Hartree checked. Mackey bet 20,000 on the {Q-Spades}{J-}{10-Spades} flop, 52,000 on the {6-Spades} turn, and 135,000 on the {10-} river. Hartree called the flop and turn and raised to 285,000 on the river. Mackey called with his flush and won the pot as Hartree showed king-high with the {K-Spades}.

Right after the break, Hartree moved in from the small blind for just over 200,000. Big blind Gary Hasson called.

Kyle Hartree: {10-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Gary Hasson: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and that was the end of it for Hartree who finishes in 15th place.

Not long after Hartree's departure, former tablemate Robert McLaughlin joined him on the rail. The culprit was, once again, Gary Hasson with ace-queen.

McLaughlin shoved from the cutoff and small blind Hasson moved in over the top. Big blind Filatov folded.

Robert McLaughlin: {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Gary Hasson: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} and McLaughlin hit the rail in 14th place.

Florian Duta Eliminated in 12th Place ($27,284)

Florian Duta

Florian Duta opened the cutoff for 65,000 and his neighbor James Mackey three-bet to 135,000 from the button. The blinds released and the action was back on Duta. He moved all in, though we missed for how much it was total as Mackey called rather quickly and there was no counting of the stacks.

Florian Duta; {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
James Mackey; {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} and that was just about it. While Duta made runner-runner two pair with the {A-Diamonds} on the turn and {J-Diamonds} on the river, it wasn't enough to beat Mackey's flopped top set.

"Interesting turn and river," Dura said with a wry smile before he exited the tournament area.

The Brazilians on the rail shouted for the cards they wanted to see, but to no avail. The board ran out {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} and that was it; Bozzano eliminated.

Ben Palmer opened to 60,000 on the button. Gary Hasson, in the big blind, called.

A flop reading {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} was dealt. Hasson checked. Palmer bet 50,000. Hasson called. The turn was the {5-Hearts}. Hasson checked again. Palmer continued for 175,000. Hasson asked his opponent how much he had behind, before raising all in for around 1,500,000. Palmer quickly called, putting at risk his last 600,000.

Gary Hasson: {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Ben Palmer: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
