Miles Makes a Good Call to Eliminate Goulet

Niveau 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Timothy Miles raised to 55,000 from the hijack and Francois Goulet jammed all in for 264,000 out of the big blind. Miles asked for a count and went into the tank for over a minute before making the call.

Timothy Miles: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Francois Goulet: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Miles was slightly in the lead heading to the flop which fell {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Goulet would need to come from behind but the {7-Clubs} on the turn nor the {9-Clubs} on the river were of any help. Miles' pair of sevens was good enough to earn the pot and eliminate Goulet.

Sammer Keeps His Composure in a Massive Pot

Niveau 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Harald Sammer
Harald Sammer

There were five players that saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the action checked around to Charles Wiper on the button. Wiper pushed in a bet of 150,000 and Sammer check-raised to 430,000 from the small blind. The other players in the hand all quickly folded and Wiper instantly made the call.

The {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and both players checked. The {5-Clubs} landed on the river, and as Wiper moved his face closer to Sammer, staring at him intensely throughout the hand, Sammer tossed in a chip and announced all in. Wiper asked for a count and leaped out of his seat, needing to stand to make a decision and break the stare. The all-in was for 807,000 and Wiper called.

Sammer rolled over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a full house and Wiper nearly ripped his cards in half. He was forced to show {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush but the result was a full double-up for Sammer and Wiper was left with around 140,000 chips.

The player in middle position opened to 50,000. Bryan Piccioli, from one seat over, three-bet shoved for 413,000. Alon Eldar, on the cutoff, reshoved for 445,000. The original raiser folded.

Alon Eldar: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Bryan Piccioli: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

''It's an honor if you beat me,'' commented Eldar.

But when the dealer spread a flop of {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Eldar stood up his chair, celebrating, ''Come on!''. The {5-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river completed the board and Edlar won the pot.

Brown is Working His Way Back

Niveau 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After taking a big hit to his stack in the last level, Landon Brown is slowly working his way back up the leaderboard. The action folded around to Michael Moore in the small blind who made a hefty raise to 215,000. Landon Brown was in the big blind and shoved all in for 1,304,000.

Moore asked for a count but it was clearly visible that Brown had him covered. After three minutes of Moore staring at the side of Brown's face, Ralph Massey called the clock on Moore who became outraged. "Who called the clock? You called the clock on me for a million dollar bet?"

Moore spent the majority of his time talking rather than thinking of what to do and eventually mucked his cards with five seconds left to act.
