A total of 236 players returned for Event #37: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em and just 20 of them bagged chips at the conclusion of play on Day 2. Aaron Massey is at the head of the pack with 1,198,000, and close behind are 2013 WSOP Main Event runner-up Jay Farber with 1,093,000 and Ian Steinman with 1,080,000. Michael Finstein (938,000) and Ryan Goindoo (654,000) rounded out the top five stacks.

Aaron Massey is half of a pair of accomplished poker siblings and each has now made a Day 3 at the 2018 World Series of Poker. His brother, Ralph, made the final table of the $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER and finished in 8th place for his largest career cash. Although Aaron can't notch a career-best payday in this event--he already has a victory worth more than double the top prize here--the two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner is looking for his second WSOP final table and first bracelet.

Several other familiar faces are still in contention for the title and $319,580 top prize, including Stephen Song (623,000), JC Tran (480,000), Eric Baldwin (469,000), Jason Wheeler (430,000) and Ryan Laplante (176,000).

The remainder of the field is scheduled to play down to a winner on Day 3. Cards will be in the air at noon local time and blinds will be 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000-chip ante when play resumes.

End of Day 2

Niveau 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Day 2 play has concluded with just 20 players remaining after four players busted out in the span of minutes. A recap of the day's action will be posted shortly.

Crazy End of Day Sees Four Players Packing

At the end of the day, a crazy flurry of all-ins saw no less than four players pack their bags in the span of mere minutes.

First to go was Jake Schwartz, who had his pocket aces cracked in unfortunate fashion. In a preflop all-in situation, Schwartz was holding the aces against Michael Finstein's {Q-}{Q-} but a queen flopped to end Schwartz' run in 24th place.

Moments later, Kenneth Lowe busted in 23rd place in unknown fashion. Damien Le Goff followed Lowe out the door in 22nd place directly after that. Le Goff was left short after losing with {A-}{K-} against JC Tran's {Q-}{Q-} and lost his final crumbs moments after.

In the last hand of the night, Brandon Hall moved all in for his last 100,000 with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and was called by Geoffrey Lavinson who held {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Hall was in bad shape to double up and the {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} run out didn't change anything. He got eliminated in 21st place from the tournament and collected $9,513.

The remaining 20 players bagged for the night afterwards.

[Removed:4] opened to 17,000 and Jason Guarinello raised it to 50,000 from the button. Jack Duong moved all in from the big blind for 238,000 and after Rudelitz folded, Guarinello snap-called with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}.

Duong, holding {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, was in bad shape to survive, and the {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} run out sent him to the cashier to collect $9,513 for finishing in 25th place.

Massey Eliminates Lew

Niveau 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Gary Lew moved all in for 130,000 with {3-}{3-} and Aaron Massey made the call with {j-}{j-}.

The board brought no help to Lew who left the tournament at the 26th place for $9,513.

Ikeuchi Eliminated by Goindoo

Niveau 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

According to the table, Kazuki Ikeuchi moved all in from under the gun for about 100,000 left with {k-}{q-} suited. Ryan Goindoo reshoved all in with {a-}{k-} offsuit.

The board gave the winning hand to Goindoo and Ikeuchi left the tournament with a prize of $9,513.
