Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey limped in for his last 4,000 from under the gun, and Andrew Kelsall called from the cutoff. Jordan Siegel checked the big blind, and each player drew two.

Action checked through and Ivey reduced his draw to one, as Kelsall and Siegel drew two again.

Siegel checked, Kelsall bet 8,000, and Siegel folded. On the final draw, Ivey drew one, and Kelsall stood pat.

Kelsall: {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}
Ivey: {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}

Ivey drew the {8-} to make a pair, and consequently was eliminated from the tournament.

Martin Doubles Through Seiken

Niveau 13 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Jesse Martin raised to 8,000 from middle position leaving himself just a single 500-denomination chip to cap his cards.

The action folded to Nicholas Seiken in the big blind, and with a pained look, he raised to 8,500. Martin called all-in, and we were off to see who could draw better.

Seiken took four, and Martin drew two. On the second draw, both players improved and they each drew one. On the final draw, both players drew one again.

Seiken: {10-}{8-}{7-}{2-}
Martin: {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}

Seiken revealed his final card to be the {7-} giving him a pair, and Martin would need to fade only an eight to stay alive.

He squeezed the {10-}, and consequently doubled through to 19,000 in chips.

On the final draw, Katz stood pat, as did Tran.

Katz tabled his {10-}{9-}{7-}{4-}{3-}, but it wouldn't be enough as Tran revealed his {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for a number 12.
