Israelashvili Applies Pressure

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

The player in the cutoff limped in, Roland Israelashvili raised to 1,300 from the button, and the cutoff called.

Both players checked the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop and {Q-Diamonds} turn.

The {10-Spades} hit the river and the cutoff tossed out a bet of 2,000. Israelashvili moved what looked like 10,000 into the middle, the cutoff quickly folded, and Israelashvili took the pot.

Baker Shoves into Trips

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

David "ODB" Baker acted first preflop and he kicked off with a raise to 700. Two players called him, the cutoff and the button.

Baker checked the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades} texture and the cutoff fired 1,500. The player next to him folded but Baker slid forward a huge pile of chips, covering his opponent's remaining stack. It was an easy situation for Baker's rival who had a trey in his hand, tabling {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

Baker trailed with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and needed some backdoor help to scoop or at least get a chop. The {A-Hearts} turn gave Baker a low draw. He could scoop the pot with a queen or the last ace on the river, but the {9-Spades} didn't improve Baker's hand so he had to concede 5,800 in chips.

Engel Doubles Against Aces

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 0 ante
Ari Engel (as seen in a previous event)
Ari Engel (as seen in a previous event)

Ari Engel found himself all in preflop for his last 4,325. He wasn't in a particularly good shape with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} as his opponent rolled over {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

However, Engel not only managed to survive, he also scooped the whole pot when the dealer spread out the board of {6-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs}, giving Engel the nut flush. Neither of the players finished with a low and Engel vaulted back over 10,000 in chips.

Hachem Backdoors Broadway to Triple Up

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

Joe Hachem was down to his last 2,000 chips and the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop was already out when we got to the table. The button had moved all-in for 1,500, the small blind raised, and Hachem committed his last chips from the hijack.

Joe Hachem: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Button: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Small blind: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The button had the lead with two pair, and while Hachem was the only one with the nut-low draw, he needed help from the deck to win. The {J-Clubs} on the turn gave him some additional equity in the form of a gutshot Broadway draw and the {Q-Hearts} river completed it, so he took the pot to triple up.

Bach Trapped by a Slowplay

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 0 ante
David Bach
David Bach

David Bach limped in from the cutoff and the player in the big blind checked his option before leading 500 on the {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Bach called and the {10-Diamonds} appeared on the turn.

Both players checked and the big blind checked the {5-Spades} river as well. Bach fired 600 in position but his opponent woke up with a check-raise to 1,500. Bach couldn't force himself to fold and threw in calling chips only to see his opponent reveal tens full with the {K-}{10-}{5-}{3-}.

So THAT Happened: Which Poker Player is Crushing Twitter

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

It is time for the 2nd WSOP Edition of So THAT Happened. This week, Sasha Salinger scours Twitter and comes up with some gems from the poker community. Manig Loeser certainly wins for the most Vegas picture of the week. Joe Cheong and Jordan Cristos exchange some harsh words and, lastly, Sasha does exactly what [Removed:412] tell her not to!
