Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of Event #56: $10,000 Razz Championship.
There were 112 players who took part in the action on Day 1 and only 52 of them will be back in the mix today. Registration, however, is still open until the cards are in the air at 2 p.m.
On top of the chip counts to begin the day is John Hennigan, leading the way with a stack of 302,000. Currently sitting second in the WSOP Player of the Year standings, Hennigan's outstanding summer doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon.
A plethora of other big names remain in the field, and among them is defending champion James Obst. After hovering around the starting stack for much of Day 1, Obst found his stride late in the day and currently sits 11th in chips entering Day 2.
