"Don't Bluff the Donkey"

Niveau 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

On a board reading {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Jean-Robert Bellande and Jeff Madsen were left heads-up in what was shaping up to be a massive pot. Bellande checked from the small blind and Madsen nearly pushed all of his chips into the middle, betting 25,500 into a pot of nearly 30,000. Bellande went into the tank while getting a massage and eventually called off his last 24,575 chips.

"Nice hand," Madsen said as he turned over {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Bellande didn't have much better with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} but was currently in the lead. The river brought the {9-Diamonds} and Bellande's ace-queen high was good enough to take down a huge pot.

"My mom always told me, 'Don't bluff the donkey,'" Bellande said as he raked in the pot. Madsen was left with around 1,500 chips and would go on to bust just a couple of hands later.

Fox Sniffs Out Aces

Niveau 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Elio Fox
Elio Fox

There was already 30,000 chips in the middle with a full board reading {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Elio Fox was on the button and heads-up with an opponent in the hijack. The action was checked to Fox who shoved all in for 21,875.

His opponent thought for a minute while Fox buried his head in his arms. He eventually made the call and Fox flipped over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

"Aces?" his opponent surprisingly asked. "I have kings."

He sent his cards to the muck face down but it sounded like a cooler of a hand.

Pantaleo and Lybaert Get Tangled

Niveau 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

There were two players facing a {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and they were Bart Lybaert and Guiseppe Pantaleo. Lybaert was first to act and he went all-in for around 14,000. Pantaleo made the call and they turned their cards on their backs.

Guiseppe Pantaleo: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Bart Lybaert: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

They were essentially flipping, with Lybaert having the slight edge. The {9-Diamonds} turn gave them both a straight but Lybaert's was the higher one, meaning Pantaleo was looking for a king that wasn't a club.

The river was a {3-Clubs} and Lybart's hand had improved to a flush, which gave him a double up.

Boeree Makes Use of Her Late Entry

Niveau 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Liv Boeree just recently took her seat before the last break and has already made use of her 25,000 chip starting stack. There was a raise to 1,300 from the cutoff and the button three-bet to 3,600. Boeree was in the big blind and thought for a minute before making a four-bet to 11,000. The cutoff quickly folded and the button's cards quickly followed into the muck, sending the pot to Boeree.
