The third of four starting flights of Event #62: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em Eight-Handed drew a total of 2,492 entries and approximately 140 players from this flight will be moving on to Day 2.
Chris Moorman is leading the way with 511,000 and he is the only player from this to put more than 400,000 in the bag. Moorman won a flip just before the second break of the day holding pocket tens against the ace-king of his opponent and never looked back.
Franz Ditz sits in second with 381,000 and Christophe De Meulder rounds out the top three Day 1c stacks with 321,000.
WSOP bracelet winners Eric Baldwin (250,000), Mohsin Charania (307,000), and Kevin Eyster (287,000) quietly built some of the biggest stacks this flight.
All surviving players will combine for Day 2 action on Monday, July 2, and the blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a 1,000 ante when play resumes.
Several familiar faces advanced alongside the chip leaders, including Yevgeniy Timoshenko (122,000), David Jackson (151,000), Champie Douglas (229,000), and Marvin Rettenmaier (242,000) will be moving on to Day 2.
Unfortunately, not all the fan favorites were fortunate enough to survive the day. Greg Raymer, Alex Foxen, andDJ MacKinnon all left empty-handed.
Will Failla, Carl DiVeglia III, Kelly Minkin, and Alex Rocha departed with consolation prizes this flight, making the money which was good for at least $1,333.

Rettenmaier checked and his opponent threw out a bet of 10,000. Rettenmaier check-raised to 21,500, his opponent folded and Rettenmaier dragged in the pot.
