The massive 13,070-strong Event #7 WSOP $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em field has been whittled down to just nine players, all vying for the lion's share of the $6,535,000 prize pool and the gold bracelet. In addition to the most desirable jewelry in poker, the winner will also walk away with the $1,000,000 top prize.

With the elimination of Matthew Silva, who ran ace-queen into the pocket aces of Joel Wurtzel to depart in 10th place, the Final Table is now set. Leading the way is the virtually unknown Las Vegas native Sang Liu with a massive stack of 18,205,000.

Liu has just five reported live cashes on his Hendon Mob for a total of $7,399. He is now guaranteed at least $57,425 and will return tomorrow to battle it out for the $1,000,000 first prize money and the coveted WSOP bracelet.

The UK's Scott Margereson sits in second with 13,855,000 and his poker resume stacks up with the best of them. Margereson has earned more than $1,200,000 in live tournaments and more than $4,000,000 on the virtual felt playing under the screen name "Aggro Santos."

Also still in the hunt is WSOP bracelet winner and 2010 WSOP Main Event runner-up John Racener. The US player was quiet for much of Day 3 and will return with 3,540,000 and his sights set on a second WSOP bracelet.

One of the other seasoned players to make the Final Table is experienced tournament pro Timothy Miles. The US player has amassed more than $2,600,000 in live earnings throughout his career and will make his second appearance at a World Series of Poker final table after finishing 3rd in last yearsWSOP $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Event #58 for $176,455.

The final nine Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em players will return on Thursday, 7 June, at 2pm local time in the Brasilia Room to resume play on the Main Stage. If the Day 3 action was any indication of what's in store there should be some scintillating poker left to be played out at the Final Table and the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the action.

Matt Silva Eliminated in 10th Place ($44,743)

Matt Silva
Matt Silva

Matt Silva is the final table bubble after an unfortunate hand.

Joel Wurtzel opened with a raise to 400,000 and Matt Silva raised all in for about three million chips. Wurtzel quickly called when the action folded around to him and both players tabled their cards.

Joel Wurtzel: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Matt Silva: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop gave Silva a lot of outs, and the {Q-Diamonds} river gave him even more chances to win the pot. The {2-Hearts} river was the ultimate brick to end the tournament for Silva, who was visibly frustrated by bubbling the official nine-handed Final Table.

Michael Cohen got eliminated in a big pot against the now chip leading Sang Liu.

Cohen bet out 445,000 when the board read {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Liu went on to count out the bet. Then he counted his stack and he put out a bet of 1,445,000.

Cohen pushed all-in and Liu quickly called.

Michael Cohen: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Sang Liu: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {10-Hearts} turn immediately left Cohen with just one out, and the {8-Hearts} crushed Cohen's dreams of becoming the 2018 Colossus champion.

Vincent Bartello moved all in for his last 1,185,000 from the cutoff and Gunther Dumsky called from the small blind. Bartello turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and would need to improve against the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} of Dumsky.

Dumsky paired his queen in the window on the {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop to take control of the hand. The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Bartello would need to pair his king on the river to stay alive.

The {2-Hearts} completed the board and Bartello was eliminated in 12th place taking home $44,743.

Paawan Bansal

Paawan Bansal just got eliminated after he got all his chips in the middle with a combo draw.

Song Choe opened the action with a raise to 350,000 and Bansal was the only caller.

Both players checked when the {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop came down, only to unleash the betting on the {4-Clubs} turn.

After a check by Bansal, Choe put out a bet and Bansal pushed all-in for around 1,800,000. Choe made the call and saw he had to fade a lot of outs with his {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} against {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

The {9-Hearts} river rolled off the deck and Choe's rail started cheering loudly. Bansal was sent to the cashier.
