Anthony Zinno Eliminated

Niveau 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

On the first hand after play resumed, Anthony Zinno shoved all in for 70,500 from the big blind over a raise to 10,000. His opponent folded, and Zinno collected the pot to move to 87,500.

In the next hand, the player under the gun opened to 11,000, and when it folded round to Zinno in the small blind, he moved all in for 87,000. The big blind folded, but the original raiser quickly called.

Zinno: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The dealer spread a {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop to give Zinno outs to any heart or ten. Unfortunately for the WSOP bracelet winner, he would see the {4-Clubs} and {8-Clubs} roll off on the turn and river, and Zinno was eliminated.

Alaei Doubles Through Gronning

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Daniel Alaei
Daniel Alaei

Rizziero Osso made it 9,000 to go and Daniel Alaei three-bet to 28,000. Lars Gronning called in the big blind and Osso folded. On the {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, Gronning check-raised from 37,000 to 150,000 and Alaei moved all in for 263,000. A quick call by Gronning followed, who had Alaei covered by not even two big blinds.

Daniel Alaei: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Lars Gronning: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The {Q-Hearts} turn and the {A-Clubs} river changed nothing whatsoever and Alaei scored a big double. Gronning busted shortly after.

Yahtzee! for Hicks

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Eric Hicks
Eric Hicks

Eric Hicks has been one of the bright personalities of this year's Main Event and once again he provided some excitement for those around him. Hicks raised to 11,000 from the hijack and the button three-bet to 27,500. The action was back on Hicks who made the call as the flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Hicks checked to his opponent who continued for 25,500. Hicks check-raised to 120,000 and his opponent went into the tank for a couple of minutes. He eventually moved all in for around 275,000 and Hicks groaned but still made the call. The button flipped over {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for two pair while Hicks held {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for top pair and a flush draw.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Hicks jumped for joy. "Yahtzee!" he screamed, but there was still one card to come. The river was the {6-Spades} and the nut flush for Hicks sent his opponent to the rail. "What took you so long with ace-ten?" he asked as his opponent walked away.

Steffen Sontheimer: {K-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Nicklaus Thompson: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} to eliminate Sontheimer from the tournament.

Andrew Brown in an earlier event

Jonathan Hilton opened to 9,000 and Andrew Brown three-bet to 23,000. The action returned to Hilton, and he made it 80,000 to go.

Brown flatted, and when the flop landed {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Hilton bet out 50,000. Brown shoved, and Hilton called all in for 281,500.

Jonathan Hilton: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Andrew Brown: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed {3-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts}, and a monster cooler saw Hilton double through to 730,000.

Shortly after, the remaining chips of Brown went to James Obst and he left the table with, "Put my chips to good use, that's all I ask for."

Samuel Bernabeu
Samuel Bernabeu

Samuel Bernabeu raised to 9,000 from middle position, the player in the cutoff called, and Ferenc Deak three-bet shoved for 236,500 from the button. Bernabeu called and the cutoff folded.

Deak showed {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, racing with Bernabeu's {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The board came down {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, giving Deak kings and fours to double through Bernabeu, who could have been the first player to crack 1.5 million had he won the race.

Elezra Sent to the Rail

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

On a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Eli Elezra checked from the big blind to Guillaume Dupuy in middle position. Dupuy tossed in a bet of 9,000 and Elezra check-raised all in for a little over 90,000. Dupuy went into the tank and Elezra gave a little speech.

"Just let it go, I have you beat," he said. "They always call when I say that," he continued with a laugh.

Indeed Dupuy called and Elezra also had him beat. Elezra showed {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for two pair but Dupuy had outs with {k-Spades}{10-Spades}. The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and Dupuy made a straight to jump into the lead. The {5-Diamonds} on the river bricked off and Elezra exited the tournament area just before players went on break.

Hellmuth Busts to [Removed:565]

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Over on the secondary feature table, Steve Billirakis made it 6,500 to go from early position and [Removed:564] three-bet to 19,000. Phil Hellmuth four-bet to 50,000 and left himself 500 behind out of the blinds, which forced out Billirakis. [Removed:565] moved all in and Hellmuth called.

Phil Hellmuth: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
[Removed:564]: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Hellmuth was in prime shape to score another double soon after the previous one, and the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop was no threat. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Hellmuth only had to fear the remaining three nines in the deck, however, the {9-Hearts} fell on the river and that ended Hellmuth's bid for another deep run in the Main Event.

The record 14-time WSOP bracelet winner left the table with a smile on his face and shook hands with all opponents before leaving the feature table area.
