Michael Gathy was among the big stacks for the better part of Day 1 and the three-time bracelet winner has kept his foot firmly on the pedal today. Gathy, who came back third in chips, has more than doubled his belongings through the first two hours and change.
Gathy was just seen scooping another pot when he called a 5,500-raise from Joseph Ranciato. Gathy was on the button, drawing one after Ranciato had done the same. Ranciato led out 8,000, but Gathy fired back with a raise to 35,000. Ranciato laid his hand down and Gathy stacked his new chips, improving to 230,000.
