Steven Tabb was in the small blind, putting big blind Stephen Moreschi at risk for his last 20,100. Moreschi peeled his hand and then agreed to go to the draw.

Both players discarded one, and while Moreschi hit a pair of eights to finish with {8-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, it was still good enough to beat Tabb who drew a second jack, showing {j-}{j-}{10-}{x-}{x-}.

Deeb started with {8-}{5-}{3-} but he quickly mucked his hand after looking at his two new cards. Wood started with a nine and Deeb's hand was in the muck before Wood even turned up his final card.

Berner Doubles through Chip Leader

Steven Tabb re-jammed over the top of short stack Ashton Berner's all in (worth 12,700), getting it heads up. Berner stayed pat and Tabb considered for a while before sliding out one card from his five. His left hand side neighbour, who'd paused to consider when Tabb had moved in, shook his head. Berner showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}; Tabb had picked up a queen.

Sung Yi shoved his last 3,900 from the hijack and Steven Tabb isolated on the button. Both players in the blinds released their hands and Yi patted his hand.

"Okay, you're in good shape," Tabb said, changing one. He rolled over {7-}{6-}{4-}{5-} and Yi showed {10-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}. Tabb peeled a {9-} to hit the best hand, eliminating the short stack.

Under the gun, Frank Kassela opened to 3,500 and Ajay Chabra three-bet to 10,500 from the next seat. The action stopped at Craig Chait who thought for some time. However, he eventually folded and it was Kassela's turn again. Kassela stacked a pile of yellow chips and four-bet to 30,500. Chabra called.

Both players quickly patted and checked and Chabra tabled {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, beating Kassela's hand as the former champ mucked.

After a handful of hands that brought no significant action, the deadlock has been finally broken with the elimination of Rep Porter in 46th place. The crucial hand started with Jerry Wong raising to 3,000. Porter called from the big blind and both players discarded one.

All in and a call followed and Porter's nine-low was no match to Wong's {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} nuts. Wong is among the tournament top stacks with over 160,000 in chips.

While Porter left the Miranda Room as the bubble boy, the 45 remaining players have locked up $2,242 and some POY points.

Quite a Difference Between "Seven" and "Sevens"

Button Jon Turner opened for 3,200, called by big blind Joseph Ranciato and they took two and one respectively. Ranciato checked, Turner bet 4,000 and was quickly called. Turner announced "sevens." Ranciato expressed surprise: "Seven?" but was corrected and found that his pair of fours ({7-}{5-}{4-}{4-}{3-}) was good for the pot.
