Wong Bites into Hall's Stack

Niveau 17 : 2,000/4,000, 6,000 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Jerry Wong opened to 9,000 in the cutoff and Galen Hall responded with a three-bet, making it 34,000 in the small blind. Wong matched his bid and he drew one after Hall had patted.

Hall checked and Wong sized a 75,000-bet. Hall thought for about two minutes until James Chen called the clock. Then he called.

"Eighty-six," Wong announced, showing {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Hall couldn't compete with that and mucked.

After spending a level taking hits to his once lead-challenging stack, Andy Hwang has now exited the tournament. Jerry Wong made it 11,000 to go and Hwang three-bet to 48,000 from the big blind. Wong made the call and drew one while Hwang stayed pat. Wong now set Hwang all in and was called.

Yosuke Iwata Eliminated in 15th Spot ($3,862) - Pause for Two Table Redraw

Niveau 17 : 2,000/4,000, 6,000 ante
Yosuke Iwata
Yosuke Iwata

Yosuke Iwata raised to 10,000 and Matthew Smith set him in for his last 76,000. Iwata cut his stack and thought for a moment before calling and drawing one for his tournament life to his {7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. Smith held {10-}{9-}{7-}{5-}{3-} which ended up winning because Iwata's replacement fifth card was a second six.

Tabb Keeps Piling

Niveau 17 : 2,000/4,000, 6,000 ante
Steven Tabb
Steven Tabb

Steven Tabb has been leading the tournament for quite some time and he shows no signs of allowing other players to take the pole position.

Tabb just added another chunk to his stack after he three-bet to 41,000 from the small blind versus Yosuke Iwata's 10,000-raise from the cutoff. Iwata called and both players stood pat.

Tabb led out what looked like 55,000 and Iwata spent over a minute before making his move. Then he laid his hand down.

"Ajay, The Deuce Machine"

Niveau 17 : 2,000/4,000, 6,000 ante

With over 60,000 in the pot and the action caught after the draw, Ajay Chabra checked to Yuval Bronshtein who fired 30,000. Chabra called and Bronshtein tabled {10-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, but it was no match for Chabra's {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

"Ajay, The Deuce Machine!" Frank Kassela shouted.
