No Sweat for Lennon

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 3,600 ante

Jeffrey Lennon was all in for about 8,000, facing off against James Chen. Both players drew one and then opened their hands.

Chen: {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}
Lennon: {9-}{8-}{5-}{2-}

"Just let me know if I have a sweat," Lennon said to Chen.

Chen turned up {7-} and that was it for Lennon who knew he was drawing dead. He wished good luck to the table and then left the tournament area.

Abdel Hamid Triples Up

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 3,600 ante

Abdel Hamid was the shortest stack in the field on the stone bubble, but he managed to cruise to the money. And despite not having reached the average, Hamid still remains in contention with 24 players left.

Hamid just tripled up to 28,500, beating Bjorn Geissert and Michael Gathy in a hand that started with Geissert opening to 5,700 from the middle position. Hamid, in the small blind, shoved for about 2,000 more and Gathy joined from the big.

All three players drew one and Hamid opened his wheel draw with {5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. He hit an {8-} to beat Geissert's {j-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-} and Gathy's cards went straight into the muck.

Frederick Li Busts in 25th ($3,232)

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 3,600 ante

Craig Chait busted Frederick Li in a hefty pot that nearly doubled him up. Li three-bet under the gun opener Chait to 19,500; call. Both players stood pat. Chait checked and Li had a hard look at his opponent's stack before moving all in for 38,500. While Chait covered Li, it was only by a few thousand, and he took a little time to decide, counting out the call, moving it back beside his stack and finally putting it in the pot.

Li: {10-}{9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}
Chait: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Li tapped the table and headed to the cash desk.

Alfa Wins with Nine-Eight

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 3,600 ante

Dave Alfa opened the button to 5,500 and both James Chen and Ryan Riess came along from the blinds. Chen took two, Riess one, and Alfa two.

The betting round was checked to Alfa who cut out 13,000 in front of him. Chen called and Riess laid his hand down. Alfa rolled over {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{3-} and Chen mucked.

Mark Fraser Eliminated in 26th

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 3,600 ante

Mark Fraser in the cutoff moved all in for 18,800 after a raise to 5,000 from Melissa Saphier. Button Galen Hall made the call, while Saphier folded. Fraser, first to decide, took a card, while Hall just flipped up {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}. Fraser showed that he'd thrown a jack, prompting a "nice break" from Hall. He'd added a second six to his {9-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, however, and left the tournament.
