Hawkins Takes Early Exit

Niveau 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

With around 3,000 in the pot after the flop and a board showing {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Maurice Hawkins moved all in for his last 7,8000 and was called by Sarah Gotautas from the button and Peter Dirksen from middle position.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Gotautas called Dirksen's bet of 15,000.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Dirksen moved all in for his last 6,000, Gotautas folded.

Dirksen tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a turned set, while Hawkins showed {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a rivered two-pair and a missed flush draw.

Arnie Got A Gift

Niveau 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

There was three-way all in action after the flop with a board showing {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

All-In Opponent: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Arnold 'Arnie' Friedman {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
All-In Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Friedman was ahead but had to dodge some cards to win the hand, and the {3-Diamonds} on the turn added more outs giving one of his opponents the wheel draw.

As fate would have it, the dealer put the {7-Clubs} on the river and Friedman eliminated both of his opponents and raked in a monster pot in the early stages of the tournament.

Samokovski Chipping Up Early

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Simon Samokovski is off to a fast start today, having taken down several sizable pots, including a small one from two-time WPT champion Eric Afriat.

In that hand Afriat raised from middle position to 600, and when it folded around to Samokovski, he made the call from his big blind. After Samokovski check-called the 900 continuation bet from Afriat on the {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, both players checked the {10-Spades} turn. Samokovski then led out on the {k-Spades} river for 2,100, which was enough to get Afriat to muck his hand.
