Margolin Makes a Mistep

Niveau 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Timur Margolin's button raise of 150,000 was met with a three-bet from Scott Vener in his small blind. The big blind folded, Margolin confirmed the amount of 750,000 and made the call.

Vener led out on the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop for 1,000,000 and Margolin made the call. When Vener shoved all in on the {6-Clubs} turn, Margolin asked for a count. The dealer counted down a total of 3,045,000, Margolin made the call and grimaced when the players turn their cards up.

Scott Vener: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Timur Margolin: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {6-Diamonds} river kept Vener's overpair in the lead and sent the huge pot his way.

Li's Set is No Good

Niveau 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Fred Li open-jammed all in for just under 2,500,000 in early position and Pierluigi Scattarelli re-shoved all in on his left. The rest of the table folded and the hands were tabled.

Pierluigi Scattarelli: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Fred Li: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Li flopped a set of fives but it was no good against the set of aces from Scattarelli. Li was looking for one out but the {q-Diamonds} nor the {10-Clubs} was it. Scattarelli had Li covered by a mere 100,000 chips and Li was eliminated.

Andler Doubles Through Fricker

Niveau 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

James Fricker raised it up from under the gun and Christopher Andler moved all in for 1,725,000 on his left. The action folded back to Fricker who made a quick call and the cards were tabled.

Christopher Andler: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
James Fricker: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Andler looked poised to double up this hand and the flop of {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} provided no sweat. The {6-Spades} on the turn left Fricker drawing dead to the {5-Diamonds} on the river as he sent over nearly half of his stack.

Margolin Wins a Massive Pot the Last Hand Before Break

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Timur Margolin
Timur Margolin

This hand ended 10 minutes into the dinner break.

The action was picked up on a board reading {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, but Timur Margolin replayed the preflop action while stacking his chips.

After it was folded to him on the button, Margolin raised it to 200,000 and was called by Sridhar Natarajan in the small blind and Mark Eddelman in the big blind. Both blinds checked the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, Margolin continued for 500,000 and both players made the call.

After Natarajan checked the {6-Spades} turn, Eddleman put out a bet of 1,520,000, was called by Margolin, but got a fold from Natarajan after he spent about a minute in the tank. Eddleman then checked the {7-Spades} river, Margolin shoved all in for his last 1,600,000 and Eddleman made the call, only to be sickened when the players tabled their hands.

Timur Margolin: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Mark Eddleman: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Margolin had flopped a set, Eddleman then turned a straight with the redraw to the king-high flush, but Margolin rivered a full house, sending the monstrous pot his way and leaving Eddleman with less than two big blinds.

Farrington Doubles Through Li

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Derek Farrington shoved his remaining chips into the middle from the under-the-gun position. When action folded around to Fred Li in the small blind, he also shoved all in , which prompted a quick fold from the big blind. The players tabled their hands and Farrington was ahead, but needed his hand to hold to stay alive, which it did on the {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board.

A Bit of a Battle From the Big Stacks

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Current chipleader Harley Stoffmaker raised on the button to 200,000. The small blind player folded, but Cosmin Joldis, another player with a commanding chipstack defended his big blind.

After the players checked through to the river on a board of {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Spades}, Joldis tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Stoffmaker mucked his hand.

Whittington Nearly Triples Up

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Garrett Beckman ripped all in for his last 680,000 from under the gun and Blake Whittington also shoved all in for 990,000 on the button. Philip Wang went into the tank in the big blind and eventually, the clock was called which prompted Wang to call.

Blake Whittington: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Philip Wang: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Garrett Beckman: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Whittington took control of the pot with two pair. However, the {10-Hearts} on the turn was good for both of his opponents as they both picked up different draws. The {a-Diamonds} paired the board on the river and Whittington improved to a full house to eliminate Beckman and double through Wang.

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The action folded to Arnie Friedman on the button who shipped all in for his last 1,235,000. Fred Li made a quick call from the big blind and had Friedman in a world of trouble.

Arnie Friedman: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Fred Li: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and Friedman picked up a two-way straight draw. The {2-Clubs} on the turn completed Friedman's straight and the {8-Spades} on the river ensured him of a full double up.
