Easy Come, Easy Go for Nguyen

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

David Nguyen opened to 175,000 in middle position and Brian Craig defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Craig checked to Nguyen who continued for 175,000. Craig check-raised to 475,000 and Nguyen called.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Craig led out for 525,000. Nguyen shoved all in for 1,535,000 and Craig tanked for a couple of minutes before folding.

In the next hand, Nguyen raised it up again to 180,000 and Scott Vener three-bet to 450,000. The action folded back to Nguyen who four-bet shoved all in. Vener instantly called off his stack of 2,560,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Nguyen tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} but ran into the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Vener. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Vener's pocket kings held on for the double up and Nguyen fell below 10 big blinds.

Bridges Makes an Amazing Call

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

After everyone folded to him on the button, Derek Farrington shoved all in. The player in the small blind quickly folded, but Daniel Bridges asked for a count from the big blind. The dealer confirmed a total of 740,000, Bridges thought for a moment and then pushed forward a stack of brown 100,000 chips, making the call.

Derek Farrington: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Bridges: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, which resulted in a chopped pot, and Farrington letting Bridges know that he made an "amazing call with ace-ten in that spot."

Aalvik Flops the Slot Machine

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded to Davis Aalvik on the button who opted to just limp in. Matthew Zola shipped all in for 790,000 in the small blind and Aalvik asked for a count. After about a minute, Aalvik made the call and the cards were tabled.

Davis Aalvik: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Matthew Zola: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} to give Aalvik trip sevens and Zola was nearly drawing dead. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn gave him a straight draw but the {9-Spades} on the river only improved Aalvik to a full house.

Eddleman Doubles Through Curcio

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

When preflop action folded to Mark Eddleman on the button, he shoved all in. Luigi Curcio then shoved behind as well, which got a fold from the player in the big blind. The players tabled their hands and Curcio was ahead preflop, which was short-lived after the dealer spread the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Mark Eddleman: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Luigi Curcio: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs} turn secured the double-up for Eddleman, which left a meaningless {6-Spades} to fall on the river. Curcio, who was left with less than one big blind after the hand, was eliminated from the tournament two hands later.

Uzunov Wins a Monster Flip

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Ivan Uzunov and Noam Freedman got all of their chips in the middle with Freedman being the player at risk for a little under 2,000,000 chips. As expected, two big hands were tabled and it was a coin flip.

Ivan Uzunov: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Noam Freedman: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Freedman picked up a straight draw to go with his two over cards. The {k-Spades} on the turn eliminated his straight possibility but it also gave him some counterfeit outs. However, the {7-Diamonds} on the river bricked off and Uzunov held on to win a monster pot.

Valentine's Patience Pays Off

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After action folded to Sridhar Natarajan, one of the bigger stacks remaining, in middle position, he announced "All in," which got folds from everyone except for Brian Valentine, who made the call from his big blind.

Brian Valentine: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sridhar Natarajan: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Valentine was way ahead preflop, and his hand held on the {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} runout. Natarajan then told Valentine that he was just trying to steal the blinds and that he was glad Valentine's patience finally paid off for him.
