It's not just in $10,000 Championship Events where you have big names making deep runs. Event #39: $1,000 Super Seniors is down to just 120 players and there are still several notables still in with a chance of winning a gold bracelet and $359,863.

Barry Shulman and Allyn Shulman both made it through, with Barry bagging 1,270,000. Also through are former bracelet winners Steve Hohn (613,000), Larry Wright, Humberto Brenes (442,000) and "Captain" Tom Franklin (210,000), all making Day 3, which starts at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19.

Leading the field after Day 2 is Jay Hong (1,838,000) who bagged well over a million chips. Hong was already in a strong position, but after eliminating another player on the antepenultimate hand of the night when his jacks held against ace-king, he strengthened his position further.

Cary Marshall came into the day with 47,000 and according to him was knocked down to 16,000 in the first level. However, he's spun his ten big blinds back up to become the chip leader with almost 600,000 in chips.

"I chipped up a bunch," said Marshall. "Just on the bubble; abusing the bubble. Got a bunch of nits so it was pretty easy!"

Marshall is a two-time ring winner, cashing in numerous senior events on the WSOP Circuit. He also has a deep run in the WSOP Main Event to his name, finishing 71st for just over $100k in 2013.

With over 40,000 already in the pot and the money bubble looming, Lorna Cerjance moved her remaining stack of 116,500 in on a board showing {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and her opponent called. Cerjance stated before the players tabled their hands, "we must be chopping".

Lorna Cerjance: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The two players were not chopping as the seven on the turn hit both their hands but Cerjance got the better end of the deal as she turned the nut straight while her opponent had top set.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Cerjance doubled up during hand-for-hand play on the money bubble.
