David Brookshire
David Brookshire

After a fast start in the first hour of the day, defending champion David Brookshire was recently seen with only 6,600 in front of him. Though levels have been escalating quickly, Levels 5 and 6 will be a double level which should help see play deepen out and give participants more room to play.

Chris Tryba

With five players in the pot on a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Chris Tryba put in a bet from middle position. There were five players still left in the pot: the hijack called and the cutoff folded. The player on the button then called before both players in the blinds folded.

Three players went to the turn, which came {9-Diamonds}. Tryba fired again and both the hijack and button folded as he took down the pot.

Hassabis Wins On River

Niveau 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Action was folded around to the player on the button who put in a raise. George Hassabis called from the small blind and Alexander Lukyanov defended his big blind. The flop came {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Hassabis checked. Lukyaniv bet and was called by the player on the button. Hassabis then check-raised and Lukyaniv called before the player on the button folded.

The turn came {k-Clubs} and Hassabis continued with another bet that. Lukyaniv called, bringing the {k-Hearts} river. Hassabis bet again and Lukyaniv thought for about 10 seconds before verbalizing that he guessed he would fold his tens.
