Figuereo Takes Pot With River Bet

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gregory Kim opened to 2,200 from early position and Francis Figuereo called sitting directly to his left.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Kim check-called Figuereo's bet of 2,500.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn and the dealer put the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Kim checked his option to Figuereo who fired out a bet of 5,000 and Kim mucked his cards.

Moshe Hits the Set to Survive

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Kalidou Sow is sitting on a 100k stack on the Brasilia Room stage overflow area, and directly to his left sits David Moshe, who just found a little bit of luck with his tournament life on the line.

Sow was out of the hand already when Moshe got all in with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} from the button, but saw the bad news when an early-position player looked him up with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. The turn proved favorable for Moshe, however, as the runout {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} gave him nines full,. and doubled him up to 24,000.

Zurbaran Sends Hall of Fame Nominee Chris Moneymaker to the Rail

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

2003 WSOP Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker, who today was revealed to be one of ten finalists nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame Class of 2019, was just eliminated from the tournament.

We missed the preflop action, but we do know that Moneymaker got his short stack all in against two players.

Moneymaker: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Button: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Euclid Zurbaran: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Moneymaker got it in good but fell behind on the {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop. The {9-Spades} turn was no help to Moneymaker, while the {q-Diamonds} river actually gave the player in Euclid Zurbaran the win with a pair of queens.

With that, Moneymaker headed for the exit.

Margers Spikes River

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

There was three-way action with 25,000 in the pot and a board showing {j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Ting Zhou lead out with a 5,000 bet from the big blind, Michael Miguni called from the cutoff and Travis Margers jammed for 13,800 on the button. Ting Zhou then re-jammed for more and Miguni mucked his hand.

Travis Margers; {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Ting Zhou: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Margers paired his queen but needed help as he was behind the pock kings of Zhou.

The {2-Clubs} on the turn brought some hope as Margers picked up the flush draw and he would get there with the {7-Clubs} on the river for a much needed double up.
