Taleb Flops the World, Cracks Aces and Kings

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Three-way all in action after Ahmed Taleb open-jammed for 1,635,000 from late position, action folded to Joao Barrosovalli who three-bet jammed over the top from the small blind and Patrick Shepherd moved all his chips in the middle from the small blind.

Ahmed Taleb {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Joao Barrosovalli: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Patrick Shepherd: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Taleb was way behind his opponents until the flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and he flopped trip threes.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and Taleb needed to dodge an ace or a king to triple up.

The {4-Spades} fell on the river and Taleb cracked aces and kings sending Shepherd out the door.

Chang Snaps Off Demaret's Bluff

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Gregory Demaret min-raised for 200,000 from the cutoff, and Mike Chang called. The flop and turn came out {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and the action checked through on both streets.

The river fell {7-Diamonds}, and Demaret put out a bet for 250,000, which Chang called. Demaret nodded in acknowledgement that Chang had the best hand, which turned out to be just bottom pair with {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Demaret missed everything with {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Rice Hits Trips for Chips

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

John Rice told PokerNews about the details of a hand that happened before the dinner break, which brought the WSOP first-timer Rice up to 4.5 million.

Rice defended his big blind against a small blind min-raise, and the flop came {k-}{k-}{10-}. The small blind min bet for 200,000, and Rice raised to 400,000, and got the call.

The {q-Spades} came on the turn, Rice checked and the small blind shoved for 1,400,000. Rice called.

John Rice: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-}{j-}

With just a gutshot possibility to save him, the river {q-} brought no help to the small blind. Rice, who began the day as one of the chip leaders, is still in the hunt at Level 29.
