At 1 p.m. local time today, the Event #57: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em action will get back underway as 35 teams remain in contention for the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and the $168,395 first-place prize.

Ohad Gieger - Daniel Dayan - Barak Wisbrod lead the way after bagging the overnight chip lead of 1,340,000, but have close competition from Tuan Le - Thanh Tran (1,141,000), Kenny Hallaert - Steven van Zadelhoff (1,129,000), Jason Koon - Sosia Jiang (1,072,000), Nicolas Betbese - Leandro Bianchini - Martin Pineiro (1,003,000), and Ryan Leng - Lisa Leng - Nikki Grandt - Ilana Grandt (1,001,000).

Other notable names still in action include Day 1 chip leaders Jared Jaffee - Ralph Massey - Aaron Massey (178,000), who will start Day 3 as the shortest stack, as well as Sam Cosby - Mario Hofler (264,000), Jordan Cristos - Jeffrey Cristos - Catherine Cristos (325,000), John Hinds - Anthony Zinno (370,000), and the Romanian and Moldovan quartet of Dragos Trofimov - Mihai Niste - Alexandru Papazian - Florian Duta (389,000).

Play will resume at the start of Level 21 with blinds 8,000/16,000/16,000 big blind ante. Players may tag a teammate anytime he/she is not in an active hand, and due to this, there will be no scheduled breaks apart from the necessary color-ups.

The event is scheduled to play across four days; however, this is at the Tournament Director's discretion, which means a champion may be crowned today. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the updates from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.
