Niveau 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Big blind Sumir Mathur patted the final draw and Jordan Siegel pulled a card. Mathur bet.

"Ah, I hit the wrong end of this open-ender," Siegel mused.

He tossed in a call and Mathur announced a six.

"Is there an ace in your six?"

There was: {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{a-}.

Yockey Hits a Wheel

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Mathur called and drew one card on the final draw. Yockey stood pat and again bet when checked to on the end. Mathur called.

"Wheel," Yockey exclaimed as he turned over {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the nuts and raked in the pot.

Badugi

Joey Couden was just eliminated from the tournament by Dan Zack. According to Zack, he opened a pot and Couden put in a three-bet. Zack put him all in for less than a fourth bet. Zack drew two cards and Couden stood pat on the first two draws before Zack stood pat after the final draw.

Zack said he filled up to a {j-}{5-}{3-}{2-} badugi and that Couden said he broke a {q-}{10-}{6-}{5-} badugi, pitching the queen. Couden received another {6-} to replace the queen and ended up with a three-card at showdown which was not enough to extend his tournament life.

2-7 Triple Draw

Jordan Siegel in the small blind and Jon Turner on the button got in two bets going to the final draw and each player patted. Siegel bet and turned called, but Siegel had the goods with {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

Turner reached over to peek at the top card, but the dealer informed him he'd already altered the order with a quick sleight of hand so the players wouldn't know what was destined to emerge.
