Lula Taylor Eliminated in 2nd Place ($388,284)

Niveau 47 : 4,000,000/8,000,000, 8,000,000 ante
Lula Taylor
Lula Taylor

Hand #99: Lula Taylor opened to 29,000,000 and Jeremy Saderne, now draped in a French flag, three-bet to 50,000,000. Taylor moved all in for 122,000,000 in total and Saderne snap-called.

Lula Taylor: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Jeremy Saderne: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Once again, Saderne has picked up the blades and was in fantastic shape to win his first-ever bracelet. Saderne's lead grew bigger on the {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, as Taylor now needed running outs to avoid elimination. They were standing behind the table and holding hands as they awaited the turn and river.

There was some hope on the {j-Hearts} turn, but the {4-Spades} river ended Taylor's amazing run in second place for $388,284. Once all the French rail had embraced Saderne and started to chant, Saderne pointed to Taylor and his rail loudly cheered her on.

Saderne has claimed the second French bracelet of the 2019 WSOP and his maiden one, which comes with a massive payday of $628,654. The winner pictures will take some time, as dozens of French players headed to the Amazon feature table to celebrate the victory.

Andres Korn Eliminated in 3rd Place ($287,219)

Niveau 46 : 3,000,000/6,000,000, 6,000,000 ante
Andres Korn
Andres Korn

Hand #94: Jeremy Saderne limped in on the button, Andres Korn shoved all in for 67,500,000 from the small blind, and Taylor folded the big blind.

Saderne, however, had laid a trap and picked off Korn's shove in a heartbeat.

Andres Korn: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Jeremy Saderne: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The flop {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} kept Saderne's aces way ahead, and by the time the {8-Clubs} came on the turn the entire French rail was on their feet, leaning over in anticipation. The river was the {q-Hearts} and Korn had to make his way off the stage in third place, missing out on his second bracelet by a hair.

Hands #90-92: Saderne Rivers Set to Double Through Taylor

Niveau 46 : 3,000,000/6,000,000, 6,000,000 ante
Jeremy Saderne
Jeremy Saderne

Hand #90: Jeremy Saderne limped the small blind and Andres Korn checked out of the big blind to see a {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop for free. Saderne made it 6,000,000 to go and Korn called, which brought them to the {2-Spades} turn. A bet of 20,000,000 by Saderne resulted in a loud celebration of the French rail, as Korn sent his cards to the muck.

Hand #91: Saderne limped in from the button and Lula Taylor checked in the big blind to a {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop. Both opted to check and the {10-Hearts} turn paired the board. Taylor now bet 28,000,000 and Saderne quickly folded.

Hand #92: Taylor opened to 19,000,000 in the small blind and Saderne pushed for 94,000,000 in the big blind, which Taylor called after some consideration.

Jeremy Saderne: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Lula Taylor: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Taylor pulled into the lead on the {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and the chants of the Argentinian rail grew louder as they were hoping for a pay jump for Korn. The {2-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, but an explosion of emotions took place on the {6-Diamonds} river as Saderne rivered a set for the commanding lead. The Frenchman jumped to his rail, embraced everyone as the entire room was filled with shouts in French.

Yi Ma
Yi Ma

Hand #69: Left on fumes after the last hand, Yi Ma called all in for 3,000,000 from under the gun. Jeremy Saderne completed the small blind, Andres Korn shoved all in from the big blind, and Saderne folded.

Yi Ma: {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Anders Korn: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop left Ma just with some runner-runner outs to survive. After the {2-Diamonds} it was over, making the {6-Spades} river a formality.

Hand #68: Andres Korn raised to 11,000,000 first to act and Yi Ma three-beet all in for 39,500,000 on the button, Korn snap-called all in for 36,500,000 in a battle of the two short stacks and had Ma in bad shape.

Andres Korn: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Yi Ma: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The Chinese rail immediately started shouting for an ace and chants by the Argentinian rail emerged when the flop brought {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. A blank {2-Spades} fell on the turn with WSOP Main Event final table vibes coming out of the corner of the Amazon room.

The noise died down with the blank {4-Diamonds} on the river and Ma was reduced to fewer than one big blind.

Hand #62: Saderne Doubles Through Taylor

Niveau 45 : 2,500,000/5,000,000, 5,000,000 ante
Jeremy Saderne
Jeremy Saderne

Hand #62: In the very first hand after coming back from the break, Lula Taylor raised to 25,000,000 from the cutoff and Jeremy Saderne moved all in for 71,500 from the button, which Taylor called. instantly.

Jeremy Saderne: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Lula Taylor: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The French rail was shouting for a deuce on the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop and kept doing so on the {5-Diamonds} turn. After the {10-Clubs} river, Saderne further improved to a full house and the French players on the rail went nuts. Their shouts could be heard in the entire Amazon room with players turning around in the Gold section to see what had happened.

And what did Taylor do? Just like she did after the previous clash with Saderne when she doubled, Taylor embraced the Frenchman in defeat with a big smile on the face.

Koji Takagi & Lula Taylor

Hand #59: Koji Takagi raised to 10,500,000 in the small blind and Lula Taylor called from the big blind to see the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, which brought an instant jam of Takagi for 31,500,000 and a quick call from Taylor. The rails of all the remaining players vaulted out of their seats to see the showdown unfold on the screens around the table itself.

Koji Takagi: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Lula Taylor: {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds} turn was a blank, but Lula Taylor spiked the {j-Hearts} on the river to gasps of disbelief from the Japanese rail and her own supporters. Takagi, on the verge of going from bottom stack to chip leader, has been eliminated in 5th place for $160,715 instead in the most brutal fashion.

Hand #50: Stefan Widmer pushed all in for 21,500,000 in the hijack and Jeremy Saderne called out of the big blind.

Stefan Widmer: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Jeremy Saderne: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds} in the window was promising for Widmer, but it was followed by the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} on the flop. The {a-Hearts} turn brought shouts from the entire rail for a queen or a deuce respectively, but it was neither; the {5-Hearts} on the river ended Widmer's run in 6th place for $121,586.

Hand #40: Taylor Doubles Through Saderne

Lula Taylor
Lula Taylor

Hand #40: Koji Takagi raised to 6,000,000 and Lula Taylor called from one seat over. Jeremy Saderne spent some time in the think tank and three-bet all in for effectively 57,500,000, as that's what Takagi as the bigger stack had left.

Takagi folded and Taylor made the call.

Lula Taylor: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Jeremy Saderne: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Both Taylor's and Saderne's rail started shouting in support as the cards were turned over. Nothing changed on the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, and Taylor improved to a straight on the {j-Clubs} turn. The French rail asked for a ten, but the {k-Clubs} river came a blank and Taylor doubled for 37,000,000 and gave Saderne a hug while her stack was counted out.

"I love you, Anthony," Taylor said to the dealer and added, "well, that was exciting".
