Souza With The Double Knock Out

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in middle position shoved all in, Matt Souza called in late position and a player on the button also called with less chips.

Souza had them both covered and with the best hand.

Souza: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Middle Position: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Button Player: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-}{4-}{8-}{j-}{7-}, the middle position player flopped top set but the river brung four to a straight and secured the winning hand for Souza with a jack-high straight.

Souza sent two players to the rail chipping up over the million mark.

Montois Triple Barrels

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A raise to 21,000 came from a player in middle position. Julien Montois three bet to 65,000 from the hijack. The original raiser called and the two went heads up to a flop.

Action checked to the three bettor on a {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board. Montois continued for 45,000 and got called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Montois bet 130,000 when it was checked to him. The player in middle position made the call.

The {j-Diamonds} river completed the board and the action once again was checked to Montois, who was not slowing down. Montois went all in for 182,000. This time his opponent found the fold button and Montois took down the pot.

Lloyd Snaps off a Bluff

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

"All In" and "Payout" are being called out in the Pavilion Room at a rapid pace, as this event has lost more than 300 players since the money bubble burst just over two hours ago.

Both of those words hit the air again at table 153, with Ben Lloyd contemplating calling an early position opponent's all in. Lloyd was on the big blind with the board showing {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, with the opponent putting in his final 150,000 on the river.

After a few minutes of contemplation, Lloyd made the call, and the opponent showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a ten-high bluff. That bluff was unsuccessful, as Lloyd scored the elimination with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Fal Looking for a Jack But Finds a Flush

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player open raised to 45,000 from early position. Everyone folded except for Nikolay Fal in the big blind who went all in for 291,000. The original raiser snapped called and Fal was in need of some help heading to a flop.

Fal: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} giving Fal a four-runner flush and a vital double up.

Sicconi Full House Over Nut flush

Niveau 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The decision was on Manish Vaswani and he was in the tank, with over 250,000 in the pot and the board reading {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Alice Sicconi moved all in for her remaining 287,000.

After pondering it over Vaswani finally made the call. Sicconi tabled {j-Spades}{9-Clubs} for top two and Vaswani had {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the nut flush draw.

The turn{k-Hearts} was a devastating card for Sicconi, with her tournament life on the line she only had four outs with one card to come. However, the river {9-Hearts} was one of those four outs to give Sicconi a full house and the full double up.

Guadagna: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Guadagna got out flopped when it came {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but took the lead on the turn when he spiked a {10-Diamonds}. The {8-Spades} river secured the double up for Guadagna.
