Hands #68-71: Kornuth and Epstein Tangle

Niveau 19 : 0/0, 12,000 ante
Alex Epstein
Alex Epstein

Hand #68: Thai Ha put his last 436,000 in the middle from late position and the other players folded.

Hand #69: Chance Kornuth called from middle position and Rene van Krevelen called from the hijack. Cutoff Alex Epstein joined the party and Anson Tsang checked.

The {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was dealt and Kornuth bet 70,000 to make the other three players fold.

Hand #70: Kornuth called from early position and Epstein raised to 75,000 from the hijack. The others folded and Kornuth called.

The dealer showed the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and Kornuth check-called another 75,000 bet from Epstein. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Kornuth checked again. Epstein checked behind this time and the {j-Diamonds} was added on the board.

Kornuth was up first and he bet 300,000. Epstein got out of the way and Kornuth picked up the pot.

Hand #71: Epstein called from middle position and Kornuth checked on his button. The flop was {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Epstein checked. Kornuth fired 50,000 and Epstein called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river was {a-Spades}. It went to showdown and Kornuth showed {k-Spades}{6-Clubs} and that was enough to beat the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} of Epstein.
