Lyons Gets There on the River

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board read {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and there was already a sizable amount of chips in the middle of the headsup pot.

The small-blind player led out with a bet of 5,000 on the {4-Spades} river and Pat Lyons made it 15,000 to go. The small-blind player made the call and the gentlemen tabled their hands.

Pat Lyons: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Small-Blind Player: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

The small-blind player had flopped a monster but lost to Lyons' rivered gutshot straight.

After a series of preflop raises Poong Cho was all in and at-risk.

Poong Cho: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Big Blind Player: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Cho was slightly behind preflop, but took the lead on the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. The {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} runout secured Cho's double-up and got him back to above starting stack.

Never See Those Deuces Coming

Niveau 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

In a three-way pot Royce Kim, first to act in the small blind, checked the {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. After the next player to act bet 2,200 and was called, Kim check-raised to 8,000, which got a fold from the bettor and a call from the third player in the hand.

Kim led out for 10,000 on the {a-Diamonds} turn, which was met with an all in shove that Kim immediately called.

All-In Player;{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Royce Kim; {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The all-in player had turned top pair with the top kicker, but was drawing dead to Kim's flopped set of deuces even before the dealer fanned the {j-Spades} river.

Vasilyev Keeps His Foot on the Gas

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Vladimir Vasilyev raised to 900 from under-the-gun and was called by a player in middle position. The cutoff-player made it 4,100 to go and both players called.

After both players checked over to the cutoff-player on the {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, he continued for 2,700. With action back on Vasilyev he check-raised to 6,300, which got a fold from the middle-position player and a call from the cutoff-player. Vasilyev then led out with a bet of 10,500 on the {10-Hearts} turn, took down the pot and added to his stack, which has more than doubled since the start of the tournament.
