Stalba Folds Ace-King

The player under the gun raised to 2,700 and the player in mid-position called. Thomas Stalba three-bet to 10,000 from one seat over and the player under the gun folded. The player in mid-position four-bet to about 60,000 and Stalba, with only 18,000 behind, thought for a long while then folded {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.face up.

"I thought I had you for sure," muttered the player in mid-position while raking in the pot.

Thibodaux Stays Active

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Sergi Reixach raised to 1,600 from the hijack and Joshua Thibodaux defended his big blind. They both checked through the {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop to the {k-Spades} on the turn. Thibodaux led out for 2,100 and that was enough to pick up the pot.

The hand right after, Aaron Mermelstein raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by both Thibodaux and Sara Hall in the blinds.

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Thibodaux bet 2,200 and Hall quickly folded. Mermelstein took some time to consider his options and then decided to make the call.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Thibodaux quickly checked. Mermelstein contemplated for a while and then decided to bet 7,000 for Thibodaux to fold.

Yen Wins Four-Bet Pot

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Alex Yen was in the hijack with what looked to be a four-bet to 17,000 in front of him. His opponent in the cutoff had made it 6,500 and was thinking things over. Finally, the player tossed in calling chips and they saw a {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop. Yen bet 11,000 and won the pot in short order.

Jacks Good for Raghavan

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ravi Raghavan checked from the big blind on {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}. David Rees bet 4,000 from the button and Raghavan called. Both players quickly checked the {k-Spades} river and Raghavan opened {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The Chicago grinder's pair was enough to take the pot.

Kabrhel Turns Silver Into Gold

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Martin Kabrhel opened to 1,600 in early position and was called by Edward Ho on his left. Bob Beck also came along from the big blind and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Beck checked to Kabrhel who continued for 1,600 and Ho folded. Beck called and the {j-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Amidst all of Kabrhel's chatter, Ho chimed in after he folded. "At least you're guaranteed second place now."

"Yes. I'm guaranteed a silver medal at the WSOP. That's pretty good," Kabrhel continued.

Both players checked the turn and the {7-Clubs} river. Beck turned over {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} but Kabrhel held {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to claim the pot. "Wow! Look at this run I'm on. I never win with you watching," Kabrhel said to PokerNews. "For sure I win this tournament."

Sulabh Choudhury raised under-the-gun to 2,000 and the action folded around to the big blind who defended.

Before the flop of {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} came out the big blind announced he checked. Choudhury continued for 2,000, his opponent then check-raised to 4,000 and Choudhury wasted no time putting in a three-bet to 13,200 and the big blind mucked.

Chang Gives Up on Turn

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

The flop was down {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and with 6,000 into the middle, Shaotong Chang bet 2,200 from under the gun. The player on the button raised to 7,200, and the big blind player folded.

Chang thought about her decision, but the Event #57 Tag Team final tablist, opted to pass after 30 seconds.

Duta Gets Paid by Valijani

On the heads-up turn of {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Hrand Valijani bet 2,500 and Florian Duta made the call to see the {10-Spades} on the river. Valijani checked and called a bet of 10,000 by Duta, who flipped over {j-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the king-high straight, while Valijani mucked {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for two pair face up.
