Heidorn Busts Maistri

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Brett Maistri raised to 23,000 from mid-position and Robert Heidorn three-bet to 61,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Maistri who shoved for around 277,000 and Heidorn snap-called.

Brett Maistri: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Robert Heidorn: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} to not bring Maistri much help as he was eliminated.

Just as Maistri made his way out of the tournament area, Joseph Cheong made his way in as he was moved from another section into the Amazon room.

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On the river of a three-way board of {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, action checked to Chris Hunichen who had just arrived with his massive stack. He made it 110,000 to go and forced two folds to claim the pot. Another new addition to the Gold section is Danielle Andersen, who arrived with a bag in the hand and needed more than two minutes to stack her chips in order.

Vincent on a Roll; Liberto Among Casualties

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Pretty much everyone looked surprise when David Kim jammed the turn of a board {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} board for 250,000 and received a call by Todd Vincent, who held {q-Spades}{3-Spades} for the flush. Kim turned over {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a bluff gone wrong and there were several gasps during the showdown.

Apparently, more than half of the table had previously been knocked out with Vincent on a hot streak, having started the day among the shorter stacks.

He was also involved in the all in of Justin Liberto, who jammed for 87,000 on the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. Michael Pearson and Vincent called and checked the {6-Hearts} turn. On the {4-Clubs} river, Pearson bet 101,000 and Vincent called.

Liberto tabled {a-Spades}{8-Spades}, Pearson had {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Vincent revealed {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to take a small hit.

Tsai Spikes an Ace on the River

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded around to Ryan Leng in the cutoff who raised to 22,000, Andy Tsai three-bet to 60,000 from the small blind, the big blind folded and Leng made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Tsai fired out 60,000 which Leng called.

The turn was the {2-Spades} Tsai broke his stacks down to count his total chips remaining and fired out a bet of 150,000 which Leng called once again.

The {a-Clubs} landed on the river and Tsai tossed in four 25,000 chips for a total of a bet of 100,000, Leng thought it over for a few seconds and put in a stack of 5,000 chips to make the call. Tsai tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of aces and Leng mucked his hand.

Jay Farber

Bradley Hinson moved all in for 37,000 from under the gun. The small blind raised to 85,000 before Jeff Madsen four-bet to 184,000. The small blind folded.

Jeff Madsen: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Bradley Hinson: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} giving Hinson trips.

"Eight of clubs-ball?" said Madsen, but the turn was the {10-Hearts}.

"Ten-ball?" said Madsen, but the river was the {2-Spades}.

"Side-pot ball," said Madsen finally, taking down the side pot.

Meanwhile at this table, Jay Farber is up to the 600,000 or so chips that he started the day with after winning with {k-}{k-} against {a-}{k-}

Lindquist Doubles Through Liebert

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A reraise to 125,000 was in front of Kathy Liebert and David Lindquist then pushed all in for 421,000 on the button as the ESPN camera crew rushed by. Liebert checked her stack carefully and eventually made the call for most of her stack.

David Lindquist: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Kathy Liebert: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

"Hold one time!" Lindquist demanded and flopped top set on {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

"No ten please," Lindquist added as Liebert had a gutshot. Both the {4-Spades} turn and the {6-Hearts} river were blanks and Lindquist doubled.
