Updated Counts Main and Secondary Feature

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Caleb Furth lost a big pot over on the main feature table and was left with just four big blinds while Andrew Brinkley jumped into the big stack as a result.

Marcelo Cudos won a four-way pot when Jeffrey Eldred raised to 60,000 and was called by Dario Sammartino in the cutoff, Cudos in the small blind and Michael Lech in the big blind. They checked the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and the {4-Clubs} turn brought a bet of 150,000 by Cudos, which won the pot.

Soon after, Sammartino opened to 65,000 and Matt Stout three-bet to 150,000. Sammartino called and folded to a continuation bet on the {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Lewis Outkicks Chu

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jake Daniels raised from early position to 70,000 and action folded around to Austin Lewis who called from the small blind. Jeffrey Chu defended his big blind and the three saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Lewis and Chu both checked to Daniels, who made a continuation-bet of 80,000. Both players called.

The turn came {j-Spades} and after about a minute of sitting like a statue, Lewis bet 190,000. Chu put out chips to call and Daniels folded. The river was {6-Clubs} and Lewis checked. Chu put out a bet of 530,000 and after about three minutes of thinking and talking to himself, announced he would pay off Chu.

"I have a king but I guess you win," assumed Chu as he tabled his hand. Lewis quickly tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Chu immediately turned his hand back over to muck it while Lewis collected the pot.

Rudelitz Bests Holmes

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Daniel Holmes ended up all in and at risk with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} and had a kicker problem, as Enrico Rudelitz from one seat over turned over the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop sent Holmes even further behind as he now needed running cards to avoid the elimination. It was all over after the {7-Spades} turn and the {3-Spades} river was a mere formality.

Candido Recovers With Much Needed Set

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A three way pot was in progress on a board that read {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Greg Candido was all in and Craig McCorkell re-shoved with his larger stack after a few moments of thought. Action was then on the biggest stack of the three, Yulian Bogdanov. He considered the the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone but ultimately released his hand to let the shorter stacks battle it out.

Candido revealed his set wit the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} while McCorkell showed top two pair with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The river came the {2-Spades} to confirm the big double up for Candido and greatly hurt the stack of McCorkell.

Mir Doubles Through Zhou

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Big blind Mariano Mir was all in for 805,000 over what looked to be a three-bet to 160,000 from Lei Zhou in the cutoff. Zhou tanked, asking the dealer to spread the small pot. Dan Colpoys was fed up with the time it was taking and called a clock. Zhou called with 10 seconds left in his countdown, but his {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} trailed {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board was no bother to Mir and he celebrated loudly and high-fived some folks on his rail.

Lewis Rises Up the Counts After Another KO

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

In a three-bet pot between Romain Lewis and Gleb Kovtunov, the dealer fanned the flop of {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Lewis led out from the small blind for 150,000 and Kovtunov called in position.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Lewis fired out another 375,000. Kovtunov still called and the {4-Hearts} completed the board. Lewis pushed out a stack of 100,000 chips, more than enough to cover Kovtunov's remaining 1,200,000 chips. Kovtunov dipped into the tank and eventually made the call.

Lewis confidently turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for two pair and Kovtunov reluctantly showed {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} before stepping away from the table.

Pelz Gets Big Value With Aces on Double-Paired Board

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Dario Marinelli bet 330,000 into about 900,000 from under the gun on {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Ian Pelz called in middle position. The river was a {2-Spades} and Marinelli checked. Pelz slid in 1.2 million and Marinelli tanked until a clock was called. As soon as the supervisor arrived to announce the clock, Marinelli put in some chips to call.

Pelz opened {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and took the pot.

Stokkan Shoots Another One Down

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Preben Stokkan
Preben Stokkan

Preben Stokkan raised to 125,000 from the middle position and Lawrence Brandt shoved in the big blind. Stokkan asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Brandt had 470,000 behind. Stokkan tanked, checked the amount several times, counted out calling chips, and then made the call.

Lawrence Brandt: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Preben Stokkan: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} for Brandt to hit a pair of jacks but Stokkan also picked up a gutshot to a straight for some extra outs.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which didn't change things but the {k-Clubs} on the river gave Stokkan the higher pair. Brandt hit the table with his fist when he saw the last card fall, sighed, and then made his way out of the tournament area.
