Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Niels de Moree
Niels de Moree

Ryan Yu in the big blind defended against a raise by 888poker qualifier Niels de Moree from under the gun and check-called a bet of 60,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. They checked the {2-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river, and Yu tabled the {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a pair and busted gutshot. De Moree turned over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a superior pair and won the pot.

Foxen Folds River

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The board read {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Alex Foxen was facing a river bet of 430,000 from David Vedral and was deep in the tank thinking it over. After several moments he gave up his hand and allowed Vedral to take down the pot.

"Was that a bluff?" asked Foxen. Vedral gave no reply whatsoever, buried in his headphones.

"I don't think you're getting anything out of him" said another player at the table to Foxen. "And even if you did he would probably lie".

"There's information in lying" replied Foxen as he continued to think over if he had made the correct fold or not.

Messick Takes One Down With Tens

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Michael Messick raised to 60,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Alex Livingston in the small blind, who called. Daniel Kirsch then defended his big blind, taking action three ways to the flop {5-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Livingston and Kirsch checked and Messick put in a continuation-bet of 80,000. Livingston folded and Kirsch called.

The turn was {a-Spades} and both players checked. The river came {4-Clubs} and action checked through again to showdown.

Kirsch tabled {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for aces and fives and Messick proceeded to table {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} to take down the pot with his aces and tens.

Choudbury Bets Big

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sulabh Choudhury had raised from the cutoff and Ori Hasson three-bet to 365,000 in the big blind. Choudbury took a few seconds and then four-bet to 600,000. Now it was Hasson's turn to contemplate his options. In the end, Hasson made the call.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Hasson checked and Choudbury counted out his stack which amounted to just over a million. Choudbury then cut out a bet of 325,000 and put that over the line. Hasson folded.

Stokkan Sends Two to Payouts

Niveau 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A double payout was called for at Table 507, and we arrived in time to see Preben Stokkan sweeping up 1.2 million formerly held by Will Berry plus another player's short stack. Berry had {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} in front of him and had found himself a nice spot against Stokkan's {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of David Pecheur. Unfortunately for Berry, after a clean flop, Stokkan had turned the {a-Clubs} to score the double knockout.
