Event #14: $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller

Jour 1 a débuté

Attention High Rollers! Event #14: $3,200 NLH Starts at 3 p.m. PDT

The largest buy-in of the 2020 Online World Series of Poker is on the schedule for today as Event #14: $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller kicks-off at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

The High Roller Event features 20-minute blind levels and the $3,200 buy-in gives players 25,000 chips to play with. Players who bust out can re-enter twice, with late registration and re-entries available for three hours and fifty-five minutes. Tournament tickets may not be used on re-entries.

Eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech shipped his first WSOP bracelet early this morning after he defeated William “SlaweelRyam” Romaine in heads-up play in 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout winning the top prize of 164,248.92.

Today's High Roller Event looks to attract many well known players as WSOP bracelet winners David "Twizzlers" Prociak, Tony "Panoramic" Dunst, and Eric "circleball" Baldwin have already signed up and will be firing from the start.

This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

This is the fourteenth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker ( holding the remaining 54 events).

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

How To Play

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:

PokerNews Podcast: Ivey Update & Bracelet Winner Matt “Bodeyster” Bode

Niveau 1 : 25/50, 5 ante

In the latest edition of the PokerNews Podcast, Sarah Herring, Jeff Platt, and Chad Holloway break down the first week of World Series of Poker online bracelet events. They even welcome guest Matt “Bodeyster” Bode, who won a bracelet in Event #4: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo for $97,091.

They also discuss the settlement in the long-running legal battle between Phil Ivey and Borgata, offer their thoughts on Mike "The Mouth" Matusow's controversial live stream comments after busting an online bracelet event, and breakdown deep runs by both Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.

Florida’s David "Twizzlers" Prociak Aiming for Another Final Table Appearance

When you talk about grinders, one name that constantly pops up is Florida’s David Prociak, who is playing in today’s tournament under the screen name “Twizzlers.” A few days ago, Prociak finished in fourth place for $41,472 in Event #11: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack 6-Handed.

He has more than $1.2 million in lifetime earnings dating back to 2015, including a career-best $330,912 for finishing runner-up in the 2015 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open $3,500 Main Event. The following year, he took down the 2016 WSOP Event #60: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better tournament for $156,546.

Toss in a couple of WSOPC gold ring wins, including a victory in the WSOPC Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event #7: $1,125 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed earlier this year for $51,400, and Prociak is clearly a forced to be reckoned with.

Prociak, who learned to play the game by watching it on TV, rented an AirBnB in order to grind the online series and was kind enough to send us a photo of him in action.

You can follow him on Twitter @DavidProciakPok.

Action folded around to Anthony "nowb3athat" Spinella who four-bet to 2,650 from the big blind and only Madsen called to see a {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop.

Spinella lead out with a 1,500 continuation bet which Madsen called to the {10-Hearts} turn.
