Ethans Cracks Aces for Double

James "jumbomom" Hundt opened under the gun for 240 and Eric "powwow" Ethans called from the small blind before "DonkeyOG" three-bet to 850 from the big blind.

Both Hundt and Ethans called bringing the three players to the flop. Ethans checked to "DonkeyOG" who continued for 1,320.

Hundt mucked his hand while Ethans raised all in for 13,310 and was called by "DonkeyOG".

Ethans was still behind after flopping top pair but the appeared on the turn giving him top two.

The river was of no consequence and it secured Ethans double-up.

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet, 15 Years Later

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.

Donato Doubles Through Wang

Pat "patmoore967" Moore raised to 200 from the hijack and Michael "miw201x" Wang three-bet to 650 from the cutoff. Luke "caravels" Donato then four-bet all in for 1,989 from the button, both blinds folded, and Moore got out of the way. Wang made the call and the hands were turned up.

Lindgren Pays Off Douglas

Action on the table folded around to Champie "kiddchamp" Douglas who raised to 200 on the button and Erica "huckcheevers" Lindgren defended her big blind to see a flop.

Lindgren led out for 225 and did the same for 675 once the appeared on the turn. Both bets were called by Douglas and the completed the board on the river.

Lindgren led out once again for 1,950 and Douglas raised to 5,900. Lindgren called only to muck her hand after seeing Douglas flopped the boat holding .

River Gives Patterson New Life

It was a flip but Patterson needed to improve to stay alive. The flop was no help, and the turn took away some of his outs by giving "Lowgun1212" a club flush draw. Fortunately for Patterson, the river was just what he was looking for and he shipped the small double.
