Welcome to Event #21: $777 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed

It's gonna be a lucky day for someone, as today's Event #21: $777 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed kicks-off at 3:00 p.m. PDT and will award another WSOP gold bracelet to one hold'em hopeful.

Players will start with 15,000 in tournament chips for their $777 buy-in, and blind levels are 15 minutes in length.

Late registration is open for three hours and fifty-five minutes, and players who bust may re-enter twice during the late registration period.

Julian "julian" Parmann Looking to Continue WSOP.com Success

Niveau 3 : 40/80, 0 ante
Julian Parmann
Julian Parmann

Originally from Michigan, Julian “Julian” Parmann now resides in Las Vegas with his wife and two young daughters. He’s been a professional poker player for the past 14 years, and according to HendonMob, he has $980,026 in live tournament earnings including a career-best $164,086 for finishing 41st in the 2015 WSOP Main Event.

In regards to the online bracelet events, Parmann has been playing since the start and early on finished 88th in Event #2: $1,000 NLH 8-Handed Deepstack for $1,833. Nine days later, he took 18th in Event #11: $500 NLH Turbo Deepstack 6-Handed for $4,794, and the very next day placed 234th in Event #12: $500 BIG 500 for $983.

Parmann was grinding on the fringe and then hit his stride over a three-day period last week. It started when he finished second in Event #16: $500 NLH Turbo (1,528 entries) for $71,648, ultimately finishing runner-up to Terrell “Heezahustla” Cheatham for $116,204.

In that tournament, Parmann got his last 10 big blinds in holding ace-three suited and was ahead of Cheatham’s ace-deuce. Parmann was primed to either double or chop, but in this particular hand he would actually lose as a deuce appeared on the flop.

The following day, he was back at the final table in Event #17: $777 NLH after navigating a 1,382-entry field to finish in eighth place for $16,833. Amazingly, on Saturday he nearly made three final tables in a row, though he fell a bit short finishing 15th out of 987 entries in Event #18: $1,000 NLH 8-Handed Turbo DeepStack for $7,876.

Parmann is in action today and looking to continue is string of nice scores.

Event #13 Champ Gets Lucky to Triple Up

Niveau 9 : 140/280, 35 ante
Michael Lech
Michael Lech

Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech, who a week ago won Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout, moved all in for 2,188 under the gun and James "pokercpa" Hoeppner three-bet jammed over the top for 18,845 next to act. Kyle "Kdruck" Draucker then called from the button to put both players at risk.

Kyle "Kdruck" Draucker: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Michael “miguelfiesta” Lech: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
James "pokercpa" Hoeppner: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Lech was dominated but he got lucky when the {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop gave him two pair. The {10-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river were both safe for Lech, who shipped the triple while the other two players chopped the side pot.

Alan Goehring
Alan Goehring

Action on the table folded around to Vanessa "ContainsNuts" Kade who raised to 1,125 on the button and Alan "GladiusIII" Goehring three-bet to 3,300 from the big blind.

Kade four-bet to 10,255 and Goehring called to see the {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} flop appear. Goehring check-jammed for 24,950 after Kade continued for 14,505 and was called.

Alan "GladiusIII" Goehring: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Vanessa "ContainsNuts" Kade: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Goehring was ahead after flopping a set but still had a sweat as any jack or spade would give the pot to Kade.

Luckily for Goehring, Kade bricked as the {8-Hearts} appeared on the run followed by the {a-Hearts} on the river, securing Goehring's double-up.

Steve "ZekeTheFOOL" Colasurd: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Colasurd flopped top pair but was way behind Himmelbrand's set of ducks.

Eric "bill_luga" Blair open-jammed under the gun for 18,929 and action folded to Gina "baconbitz" Bacon who called off her 15,050 stack from the cutoff.

Eric "bill_luga" Blair: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Gina "baconbitz" Bacon: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

It was a classic race and Blair took the lead after the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop gave him top two-pair but it also gave Bacon a broadway draw.

The {4-Spades} turn was of no help to Bacon nor was the {7-Hearts} river ending her tournament.
