Friday is Bracelet Day in Event #14

GGPoker
GGPoker

It's nearly time to hand out the next bracelet in the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events. During Day 1 play yesterday, the 2,639 entries by the time registration closed meant they were playing for $1,253,525 in this unguaranteed event.

Once registration closed, things went very quickly. They played into the money within an hour, but the large starting field meant that they played the full 32 scheduled levels for Day 1.

That left just 35 players in action fighting for the Gold Bracelet and the more than $150,000 top prize. Players who exit at the start of Day 2 can expect to take home $3,443, but players who make the final nine will all be guaranteed more than $15,000.

Brazilian player Rafael "riskgambler" Furlanetto bagged the biggest stack for the end of Day 1, as the only player with more than 5 million chips. Two others, Phachara "Phachara W" Wongwichit, and Ivan "uPayMyOnix" Limeira, finished Day 1 with more than 4 million.

At the other end of the table, four players are coming into the final day with less than 10 big blinds, and the majority of the field will start the day with between 10 and 30 blinds.

Teusl Out Before Pay Jump

Friend of GG Jessica Teusl came into Day 2 with a short stack, and it didn't take her long to find a spot to get it in. She limped from the small blind, then got it all in after a four-bet shove from big blind Nikola Minkov. It was a race between Monkov's {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Teusl's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and while Teusl turned a flush draw on the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} board, she bricked the river and the pair held. Teusl ended in 34th place, just missing a pay jump to $3,939.

Renan Bruschi just doubled through Ricardo "OverTh1nking" Caprichoso to leave Caprichoso on just over 1 big blind. Caprichoso shoved the small blind for 1,468,147 and Bruschi called the big blind with a bit less.

Renan Bruschi: {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Ricardo "OverTh1nking" Caprichoso: {9-Spades}{6-Spades}

They both hit a six on the {4-}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Spades} board but Bruschi was already best and turned the king just to be safe. Caprichoso busted a couple hands later, also to Bruschi, when he ran {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} into {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and couldn't find help.

Bruschi Eliminates Wang

Niveau 39 : 125,000/250,000, 30,000 ante

Shuoqian "raisetwice88" Wang jammed for 1,209,856 from the small blind and was called by Renan Bruschi from the big blind.

Shuoqian "raisetwice88" Wang: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Renan Bruschi: {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}

It was looking good for Wang to double up after Bruschi didn't connect with the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop or the {9-Hearts} turn. But the {k-Clubs} river gave Bruschi a pair and Wang was eliminated in 11th place.

The action moved to hand-for-hand on the final table bubble after the hand.
