$800 Double Chance Returns for Day 2 with 24 Players Left

Stoyan Obreshkov
Stoyan Obreshkov

Action is nearly underway on the final day of Event #4: $800 Double Chance, the fourth bracelet to be awarded in the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events. Once registration was complete on Day 1, a total of 1,643 entries swelled the prize pool to almost $1.25 million.

There are just 24 players left in action now, fighting for the top prize of more than $160,000, but everyone returning for the final day has been guaranteed a payout of some kind for quite a while. The first player out on Day 2 will still bag $5,372, but there's almost $600,000 locked away in the final table spots during the end game.

The biggest stack in the game, in front of Stoyan "UncleToni" Obreshkov, has more than 100 big blinds in it to start Day 2, but action will be fast at the bottom of the counts, as three short stacks have less than 10 big blinds, and will almost certainly be looking to double up quickly. The average stack at the moment is around 40 big blinds however, so there is still a lot of play left in this game.

Blinds will increase every 15 minutes until the final table, when it will move to 20 hands per level. Action on Day 2 starts out at Level 33 with blinds at 40,000/80,000 with an ante of 10,000, and they'll play today until someone owns a new Bracelet. Stay tuned here at PokerNews for all the Day 2 action.

"Pwndidi" was short stacked coming into Day 2, and got their chips in when they woke up to ace-king. They ran into queens for Thibaut Blondel and sixes for "Kewww". The sixes got there for a set on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades} and took down a nice pot to survive while they sent "Pwndidi" to the rail.

Immediately before the break, Stoyan "UncleToni" Obreshkov took the lead when his {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} got there to crack the pocket kings of Sergei "Igor Gofman" Pillpenko for a huge pot worth almost 20 million. The pot left Pillpenko on the short stack and changed the complexion of the final table completely.
