Twomley Gets Folds on the River

Niveau 2 : 300/600, 0 ante

Jonathan Twomley raised it up in early position and picked up a call from the player on his left and Julien Martini in the small blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Martini led out from the small blind. Twomley raised and the player on his left three-bet. Martini called only to have Twomley stick in a four-bet which both opponents called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Twomley continued betting with both of his opponents calling. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Twomley fired out again. The opponent on his left quickly folded while Martini gave it some thought before deciding to do the same.

"The Donkey" Plays His Role

Niveau 2 : 300/600, 0 ante

Eric "The Donkey" Kurtzman raised it up from under the gun and was three-bet by an opponent in the hijack. The action folded back to Kurtzman who called to see a flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Kurtzman checked to his opponent who bet and Kurtzman check-raised. His opponent re-raised and Kurtzman just called to see the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Both players checked and the {8-Clubs} completed the board. Kurtzman led out with a bet this time and his opponent paid him off. "The nuts," Kurtzman announced as he showed {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a straight flush.

Joe McKeehen raised it up from under the gun and the big blind defended. The flop came {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and the big blind checked to McKeehen who continued with a bet. The big blind check-raised and Mckeehen just called.

The {4-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and the big blind fired out a bet. McKeehen raised this time and his opponent dumped his cards into the muck. McKeehen flashed pocket aces as he raked in the pot.

On the next hand, McKeehen was looking at a raise and he defended from the big blind. McKeehen opted to check-call every street on the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades} board. His opponent turned over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for top pair but McKeehen rivered two pair with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.
