Jesse Solano

Vojtech Ruzicka raised to 80,000 and Jesse Solano ripped all of his chips in the middle for roughly 500,000. The action folded back around to Ruzicka who made the call and the dealer instructed both players to open their hands.

Jesse Solano: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Vojtech Ruzicka: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip situation but Solano couldn't get there when the board ran out {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Solano took home 21st place for $7,275.

Rok Gositsa raised to 80,000 under-the-gun and Jason Beck called on the button before Alex Epstein raised all-in for approximately 430,000 from the small blind. Gostisa called and Beck quickly got out of the way,

Alex Epstein: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Rok Gositsa: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Epstein ran into the best possible starting hand and couldn't catch up when the board ran out {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}. Epstein was eliminated in 22nd place for $7,275.

Victor Shih Eliminated in 23rd Place ($7,275)

Niveau 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Victor Shih raised to 80,000 from under-the-gun and Koveh Waysei defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Waysei checked to Shih who continued for 55,000. Waysei pushed out a check-raise and Shih called.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Waysei announced all in. Shih had around 525,000 chips remaining and eventually made the call to put himself at risk. Waysei held {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair but Shih turned the better two pair with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

However, the river was the {q-Diamonds} and Waysei improved to a full house to eliminate Shih at the start of Day 2.

Beck Finds an Ace

Niveau 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jason Beck opened under-the-gun for his entire stack of 405,000 and the action folded around to Fred Goldberg who re-shoved his stack. The blinds quickly folded and both hands were tabled.

Jason Beck: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Fred Goldberg: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Beck only had one overcard and the flop of {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} was no help. The turn was exactly what he was looking for when the {a-Diamonds} fell. The river sealed his double up when the {q-Spades} landed.
