WSOP champion Ryan Laplante is in the room and he is looking for his second title. Laplante previously won a gold bracelet in the $565 Pot-Limit Omaha event in 2016.

Laplante raised from a middle position and a player in the big blind called.

The flop was {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Laplante led with a bet.

"Monster pot developing," he said.

The player in the big blind folded and Laplante took a small pot early in Day 1.

Players in the cutoff and on the button called and Anatolii Zyrin raised to 500 from the small blind. The big blind called and the limping players came along.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Zyrin led out for 1,000. The big blind player and the player in the cutoff got out of the way and the button made the call.

The turn was {2-Spades} and Zyrin fired a pot bet of 5,300. The button folded and Zyrin took another pot to continue his run after falling behind early.
