Ryan Depaulo Takes the Chip Lead in a Controversial Situation

Niveau 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

Ryan Depaulo raised to 160,000 from the button and the small blindreraised to 835,000 leaving himself with about 35,000 behind. That wasn't seemingly seen by anyone and it was believed he was all in.

Depaulo then said, "I call all in." The at-risk player then appeared to get upset saying he wanted the floor because "it was only a call." The floor confirmed it was a call and a player asked, "What's the difference? They're just going to push all-in on the flop."

Depaulo, who had about 150K behind, then expose his hand of pocket jacks, which would come into effect after the hand.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and the small blind went all in. Depaulo quickly called putting his opponent at risk for his tournament life.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Ryan Depaulo: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The rest of the board ran out the {4-Clubs} turn and {k-Spades} river and Depaulo, who was live on his phone, could be heard yelling in celebration having hit a straight on the river.

Depaulo would then get a three-hand penalty for exposing his hand early.

Michael Wang

The hand was picked up on the flop with the board reading {3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the pot already around 10,000 in chips.

A player checked to Michael Wang on the button and the only other player in the pot and he bet 8,000.

His opponent quickly called and the turn was {4-Clubs}. The other player again checked and Wang bet 15,000.

His opponent went all-in putting Wang at risk with only 46,500 behind and Wang made the call with the river to come.

Michael Wang: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Wang was behind with the set of his opponent and in bad shape needing to catch on of the two remaining aces and the river {a-Clubs} was just that to keep Wang alive and double him up through his opponent.
