Wieser Puts Yu to The Test

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Four ways on a board of {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}, the small blind checked to Ben Yu in the big blind and he bet 35,000. Maximilian Wieser then raised to 105,000 from early position and action folded back to Yu, who called.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Yu checked to Wieser, who bet enough to put Yu all in for his last 140,000.

Yu tanked for some time before deciding to fold — sending the pot Wieser's way.

Greenstein Doubles with Big Slick

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Barry Greenstein opened to 25,000 in the cutoff and Vangelis Kaimakamis three-bet to 90,000 from the big blind. Greenstein instantly shipped all in for 307,000 and Kaimakamis got a count before making the call.

Barry Greenstein: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Vangelis Kaimakamis: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Greenstein held a dominating lead and the flop of {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} put him even further ahead. The {j-Hearts} on the turn gave Kaimakamis some outs but the {j-Spades} on the river ensured Greenstein of a double up.

Lim Chops It Up After Playing the Board

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} with a full house on board. Dragana Lim bet enough to put Emilio Nunez all in and he snap-called.

Lim tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Nunez had the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}, neither having a king nor an overpair to the sevens and the pot was chopped up.

Wong and Bedir Win Small Pots

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jerry Wong opened to 25,000 and was called by Preston McEwen on the button and Joao Simao in the big blind. On a {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Simao checked and Wong bet 35,000. Neither of his opponents invested any further chips and Wong collected the pot.

In the next hand, Selahaddin Bedir raised to 27,000 and the big blind defended. Bedir's continuation bet worth 21,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop was called but a second barrel for 68,000 on the {q-Diamonds} turn did the trick for Bedir as his opponent check-folded.

Swingruber Eliminated by Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker raised to 25,000 over on the main feature table and was called by Ion Godoroja, Breno Campelo, Jevon Lam and Sean Swingruber. On the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, Lam checked and Swingruber moved all-in for 139,000 which Moneymaker and Godoroja called. Moneymaker then bet the {2-Diamonds} turn for 336,000 and Godoroja folded.

Sean Swingruber: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Chris Moneymaker: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {6-Spades} river improved Moneymaker to the superior ten-high straight and that sent Swingruber to the rail.

Gimbel Straightened Out by Walton

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Harrison Gimbel
Harrison Gimbel

Harrison Gimbel was all in for his remining 200,000 after a {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop and was called by Adam Walton from the small blind.

Harrison Gimbel: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Adam Walton: {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Gimbel held an over pair with a gutshot straight draw and he needed it to complete after Walton flopped the goods.

The {a-Diamonds} turn was no help to Gimbel as he needed a six to stay alive, but the {a-Spades} paired the board on the river and ended his Main Event.

Coker Coolers Ramdin

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ayodesi "Azeez" Coker opened to 25,000 from early position and was called by Victor Ramdin in the hijack, the player in the small blind, and Ken Aldridge in the big blind.

Action checked to Coker on the {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop and he continued for a 65,000 bet. Only Ramdin called.

Both players checked on the {q-Hearts} turn; however, Coker bet 145,000 when the {q-Clubs} completed the board and Ramdin instantly tossed in a single chip to denote a call.

Coker tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a full house, which was good against the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Ramdin for a flush — leaving Ramdin with just 140,000 behind.
