Sammartino Eliminates Seidel, Crivello Ousted

Niveau 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Erik Seidel raised to 85,000 in middle position and was three-bet to 275,000 by Dario Sammartino in the hijack.

Seidel then moved all in for 1,415,000 and Sammartino called for a huge pot.

Erik Seidel: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The board came {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, bringing no help to Seidel as the Poker Hall of Famer passed his bounty card to Sammartino and headed for the exit.

Meanwhile at the adjacent table, Frank Crivello was also eliminated when he shoved with {q-}{7-} in late position and was called by Justin Young with {k-}{10-}. Crivello couldn't catch up and Young maintains his chip lead with Sammartino now hot on his heels.

David Peters from late position shoved on Laszlo Bujtas in middle position on the river on a three heart board. Bujtas called and was shown {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} by Peters for the queen high flush. Bujtas mucked and departed the tournament area after a very short day 2.

Ivey, Negreanu, and 13 More Stars Remain in Day 2 of WSOP $100,000 High Roller Bounty

Phil Ivey

While hunting $25,000 bounties was a big part of Day 1 of Event #2: $100,000 High Roller Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, with a 2022 World Series of Poker bracelet and a huge top prize now within sniffing distance, the dynamic may change a bit on Day 2.

Justin Young (3,565,000) leads 15 survivors from Day 1, but with late registration open until cards are in the air at noon pacific time, a few more bounty and bracelet hunters may join the fray with 15 big blinds.

As expected, the star-studded field brings nothing but notables and high rolling crushers over to Wednesday’s action with the likes of David Peters (3,085,000), Koray Aldemir (2,930,000), Phil Ivey (1,975,000), Erik Seidel (1,645,000), and Daniel Negreanu (1,235,000) just to name a few still in the mix.
