Kornuth Doubles Through Young

After Justin Young opened for 100,000 in the hijack and Phil Ivey called on the button, Chance Kornuth raised to 1,800,000 in the small blind, leaving himself just over 200,000 behind. Young called and Ivey folded.

Kornuth's queens were well ahead and remained so through the flop which gave Kornuth extra outs in the form of a gutshot straight draw.

The turn changed nothing, but the on the river gave Kornuth his straight, taking a huge chunk out of Young's stack.

Aido Dusted Off by Imsirovic

Kornuth Surprises Negreanu on the River

After some deliberation, Negreanu folded, later telling Kornuth he wasn't expecting him to raise.

Negreanu Put to the Test

Chance Kornuth raised from under the gun to 120,000. Daniel Negreanu, who had been slowly slipping down the chip count since the start of day 2, called from middle position. The remaining players got out of the way to send Negreanu and Kornuth heads up to the flop.

On a flop of Kornuth continued for 125,000. Negreanu flatted.

The turn saw Kornuth lead out again, this time for a chunkier 430,000. It was not enough to shed Negreanu who called once more.

The board paired on the river. Kornuth announced all in to send Negreanu into the tank. After burning through at least one time extension, Negreanu laid down his hand to send a healthy pot Kornuth's way.

Peters Eliminates Young with...Ten High?!

A short-stacked Justin Young put 240,000 of his remaining 350,000 chips in from early position and was only called by David Peters in the big blind.

On a flop of , Young put forward the last 110,000. Peters didn't seem thrilled but couldn't pass up the chance to collect Young's $25,000 bounty. Little did he know he'd love to see what he was up against.

Katz Eliminated, Play Condensed to One Table

Koray Aldemir opened to 135,000 from the button and Cary Katz three-bet to 370,000. The big blind folded to send the action back to Aldemir who decided to move all in. Katz had less than half his original stack behind and made the call to put himself at risk.
