Hall Bets Big, Glaser Pays Him Off

Niveau 5 : 300/500, 800 ante
Galen Hall
Galen Hall

There was already about 15,000 in the middle as Galen Hall and Benny Glaser went heads-up after the draw. Hall bet out another 15,000 and the decision was on Glaser.

Glaser spent several moments in the tank, counting out his chips before deciding to call. Hall showed him 8-6-5-4-3 and Glaser mucked to surrender the big pot.

Hall, who made a deep run in the Mixed Triple Draw last week, is now one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Foxen Loses a Chunk Early

Niveau 5 : 300/500, 800 ante

Alex Foxen just entered the tournament after the break but has already lost more than half his starting stack after a recent encounter with Oscar Johansson.

Johansson had raised from middle position before Foxen three-bet from the button to 3,300. Johansson called and stood pat, while Foxen took one.

Johansson checked to Foxen after the draw and he put out a bet of 8,000. Johansson quickly called.

"Ace," Foxen announced, but Johansson had him beat with a nine-seven to take the pot.

Kassela's "Good Pat Hand" Falls to Kelsall

Niveau 5 : 300/500, 800 ante

Frank Kassela raised before the draw and A.J. Kelsall defended his big blind.

Kelsall took one while Kassela patted. It would be Kelsall who took the lead after the draw, betting out 6,000. Kassela quickly called.

Kelsall showed an 8-7 and Kassela mucked, claiming to have had a nine-six.

"I had such a good pat hand. I didn't want to get rid of it," the 2010 Player of the Year said as he watched his chips head over to Kelsall's stack.

Ho Trashes Aldemir's Property After Losing Pot

Niveau 5 : 300/500, 800 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

How's that for a teasing headline? Rest assured it was all very friendly.

After Ryan Riess was all in pre-draw for crumbs, Thomas Newton raised to 1,000 and was called by Koray Aldemir, Maria Ho, and Mark Fraser.

Riess then drew three, Newton took two, Aldemir one, Ho two, and Fraser three.

Action was then checked to Aldemir who bet 3,000. Only Ho called to see Aldemir turn over {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Ho mucked her cards with playful anger claiming she had the smoothest of tens, then took a post-it note a friend had given Aldemir that read "Hooray for Koray" and tossed it onto the ground.

Nearby floor staff saw the incident and while they considered banishing Ho from the tournament for her outburst (ok, no they didn't - everyone had a good laugh), the post-it note was retrieved and arguably the most fun table in the room carried on to the next hand.

Kyte Flies Up Leaderboard After Making Huge Call

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,500, the player in the cutoff called, and Jon Kyte three-bet to 7,000 in the big blind. Only the player in the cutoff made the call.

Kyte stood pat and the cutoff drew one.

After Kyte checked, the cutoff moved all in for over 25,000, sending the Norwegian star into the tank.

Ultimately he came to a call to see his opponent begrudgingly show {j-}{9-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

Kyte then turned up {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for the winner to claim a huge pot and send his opponent to the rail
