Will Steve Zolotow Add to his Legendary Status? Tune In to the $1,500 Freezeout from 1 P.M. Onwards

Steve Zolotow
Steve Zolotow

Out of a field that once contained 1,774 hopefuls, only 10 remain after two days to battle for a piece of poker history: the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and the $364,899 top prize.

Those still battling it out in Event #34: $1,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em will play down to a winner when all the action kicks off at 1 p.m. local time.

The biggest name left in the field is undoubtedly Steve Zolotow, who is one elimination away from reaching an incredible 22nd-career WSOP final table and looking for his third bracelet overall. This is Zolotow's second WSOP final table of 2022 after last having reached a final table back in 2010. He finds himself in the middle of the pack and will certainly put up a fight after finishing fourth in Event #3: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em.

Also in the field looking for their second bracelets are Justin Pechie and Jeremy Wien. Pechie comes into Day 3 in third place while Wien has a little more work to do as he begins in ninth.

Everyone is chasing a French duo at the top as Samuel Bifarella and Maxime Parys are currently the chip leaders, separated by a little over two million chips.

The players will play down to a winner today, taking 15-minute breaks every two 60-minute levels, with a possible dinner break that will be determined later in the day.

Follow all the updates here on PokerNews through to the conclusion of this event, as well as the rest of the events from the WSOP's new home at the Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
