Diaz Is Speechless

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

From the middle position, Guillaume Diaz raised to 3,000 and Kevin Houghton made it to 7,500 from the button. Diaz called.
On a {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Diaz check-called a 10,000 continuation-bet from Houghton.

Then a {9-Hearts} came on turn and after a new check from Diaz, Houghton moved all in. Diaz had almost 60,000 behind.
Houghton talked to Diaz for a moment, and after that, Diaz made the call.

Kevin Houghton: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Guillaume Diaz: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The river was a blank {2-Hearts} and Diaz was eliminated. Meanwhile, Houghton is among the biggest stacks of the room.

Dennehey's Queens Hold

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After a raise to 7,500 from early position, John Dennehey put in a reraise to 21,000 from the lojack, and got a call from the early position player.

The {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop was checked through before the early position player fired for 15,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn. Dennehey made the call.

The {4-Hearts} river was checked by both players and Dennehey turned over {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. His opponent tanked for a moment, looking at his hole cards again briefly, before finally tossing them in the muck, awarding the pot to Dennehey.

Geyer Gets a Customer

On a heads-up turn of {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, after his opponent in early position checked, Adam Geyer bet 13,000. After spending considerable time in the tank, the early position raised all in and Geyer snap-called, which put himself at risk.

Adam Geyer: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Early Position: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Geyer was well in the lead , and the river {7-Spades} changed nothing as Geyer was shipped the pot for big double up.

Melogno's Pocket Pair Holds for the Knockout

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Pablo Melogno had led out for 4,500 from under the gun. A player in middle positon moved all in with the small stack of 9,500. After a bit of thought, Melogno put in the call.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Pablo Melogno: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Melogno was successfully able to dodge both of his opponent's overcards, as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, securing the pot for Melogno and sending his opponent to the rail.

Lijo Doubles Up

Niveau 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Mike Puski in the small blind raised to 7,000 preflop, but then was three-bet all in by Lander Lijo in the big blind. Puski quickly called and the two players tabled their cards, with Lijo at risk.

Mike Puski: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Lander Lijo: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board on the turn was {5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, meaning the only way that Puski could win would be to hit a two-outer king for a gutshot straight. But fate was extra cruel when the {j-Hearts} came on the river, which made a set for Puski but also gave Lijo a straight, awarding the Spanish pro the pot for a double up.
