Event #37: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER No-Limit Hold'em

Jour 1b a débuté

Welcome to Day 1b of Event #37: $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Lazrus - Darryl Ronconi
Daniel Lazrus - Darryl Ronconi

The second and final starting flight of the annual millionaire-maker event will begin at 10 a.m. local time today at the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas

Last year's event attracted a field of 5,330 entrants, who generated a prize pool of $7,110,210. Last year's event saw Daniel Lazrus defeat Darryl Ronconi heads-up to capture the $1,000,000 prize and his second WSOP bracelet of that year. The eventual winner of this event is guaranteed a cash of at least $1,000,000 too.

This year's Day 1a saw 3,546 players enter the field, generating a prize pool of $4,757,940, already looking to crush last year's figures. After play ended on Day 1a, 738 survivors bagged up their chips for Day 2 on Sunday, June 19.

Day 1b will follow the same structure as Day 1a. There will be 11 levels of play, each lasting 60 minutes. There will be a 20-minute break after every second level, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8, expected to be around 7 p.m. local time.

Late registration will close when players return from dinner. Everyone will start with 25,000 chips, and blinds will begin at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.

This event offers bubble protection powered by ClubGG! Simply have a Platinum subscription at ClubGG and you’ll get your money back in case you bubble this event. To learn more about this special promotion, click here.

Birkholz Hits Running Quads to Bust Aces

Niveau 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

The details of this hand were provided by another player at the table.

A raise came from early position to 400, before the cutoff reraised to 1,200. Danny Birkholz, the big blind, made the call. Then, early position put in a 4-bet to 8,300. The cutoff wisely managed to laydown his hand, later revealed to be pocket queens, before Birkholz made the call, giving heads up action to the flop.

The early position player jammed on the {5-}{5-}{4-} flop. Birkholz made the call.

Danny Birkholz: {k-}{k-}

Birkholz was behind, but that changed quickly as the {k-} turn gave him a full house before the {k-} river improved him to quads, more than enough to bust his opponent's aces, and scoop the pot, giving him one of the largest stacks in the field in the early stages of this starting flight.

Lin Takes Chunk from Capriles

Niveau 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

The board read {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} with a substantial pot in the middle already.
