Kitai Hero-Calls Correctly

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

On a completed board of {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}, the opponent of Davidi Kitai bet 16,000. The Belgian went into the tank for a while and ultimately tossed in a single chip for the call.

Kitai was shown the {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a bluff and won the pot with the {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

"I was just testing the waters," the opponent said with a smile on the face and Rick Alvarado chimed in with a "wrong guy", referring to Kitai's tendency to make great hero calls on the live poker circuit.

Moolhuizen Sent to the Rail by Estrade

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Just before the blinds went up, Pierre Estrade min-raised in the hijack. Mateusz Moolhuizen three-bet to 40,000 while keeping a single T-1,000 chip behind. "I learned that trick from you," the Dutchman joked. Estrade then pushed all in with the covering stack and Moolhuizen called.

Mateusz Moolhuizen: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Pierre Estrade: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop gave both players trips aces and the {q-Hearts} turn improved Estrade to aces full of queens. No miracle chop came with the {8-Clubs} river and Moolhuizen headed to the payout desk.

Soldati Triples Up with Aces

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player in early position opened for 9,000 and the hijack raised it up to 27,000. Sebastien Soldati, in the small blind, shoved his final 30,000 chips and was called by both players.

The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and after the early-position player checked, the hijack bet 25,000 of his roughly 65,000 chips. His opponent folded.

Sebastien Soldati: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Hijack: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The turn brought the {3-Hearts}, guaranteeing Soldati's triple up. The {9-Clubs} completed the board.

Aminoff Catches a Bluff

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joining the action on the river the board read {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the lojack bet 54,000 which was around a pot sized bet. Benjamin Aminoff went into the tank on the button and didn't believe his opponent as he decided on a call.

The lojack turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for two pair while Aminoff turned over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a better two pair.

"He's probably been doing that (bluffing) the whole time, now we know," Aminoff said as he took in his chips.

Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

Following an open raise to 10,000, Bart Lybaert made it 30,000 to go in the hijack and was called by the open-raiser. On the {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Lybert continued with a small bet and received a call to then bet the {a-Diamonds} turn for 40,000. His opponent moved all-in for around 150,000 and Lybaert instantly called.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Bart Lybaert: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The {10-Spades} on the river was a blank and the two pair of Lybaert secured the knockout, as his stack of 172,000 covered by a small margin.
