Speech Play By Sova Results in Laydown

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Heads-up to the {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, John Sova checked from under the gun and the player from one seat over made it 36,000 to go. Sova then simply moved all-in for what appeared to be 533,000 and his opponent went deep into the tank.

"That is a very big bet, are you scared?" the other player asked. Sova had previously indicated to be happy to take down the pot right there and replied with a "since you haven't called yet ... I am not scared."

More table chat followed and the fold came eventually, as his opponent claimed to fold a "big pocket". Sova had promised to show his cards either way and exposed the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Neymar Jr. Notches His First-Ever WSOP Cash in Event #41: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty!

A week ago, PokerStars Cultural Ambassador Neymar Jr. made his playing debut at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) when the Paris Saint-Germain's renowned forward entered Event #26: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship.

He didn’t cash that tournament, but now less than a week later the soccer legend has notched his first-ever WSOP cash by finishing in the money in Event #41: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em. In fact, he’s still in action as of this writing and you can follow his progress in our live updates here.

Funny story, when the money bubble burst and tournament staff was trying to verify the size of the field, players were asked to remain in their seats and spectators to clear the area. No doubt excited by the prospect of earning his first WSOP cash, Neymar was standing on the rail chatting with a trio of friends which included PokerStars Team Pro Andre Akkari.

A security member, diligent in their duty and unaware that Neymar was in action, strolled up and said, “Sorry guys, I gotta kick you out, you can’t stay here.”

Bjork Falls to Panetti

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Robert Bjork was all-in with a short stack and looked up by Christophe Panetti.

Robert Bjork: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Christophe Panetti: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and the ace-queen high was good enough for Panetti to deal the final blow. "Open shove for the last 80k," Kanan Farzaliyev mentioned in table chat when he noticed the live reporter right behind.

Mudireddy Cracks Aces with Ace-Ten Suited to Stay Alive

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Yashveen Mudireddy went all-in from the button for his last 169,000 and was called off by the small blind.

Yashveen Mudireddy: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Mudireddy got a lot of help on the {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. He still had a chance to hit his flush after the {4-Diamonds} turn.

The player would smash the {q-Clubs} river, sending the tables into oohs and ahhs as he received a necessary double-up.

The small blind continued for 25,000, and elected to call when Keating raised to 105,000. The action checked to Keating after the {k-Hearts} turn, and he slid out 100,000 chips. His opponent took a moment before folding, and Keating showed the table {10-Spades}{8-Spades} to take it down.
