Smith Flops Truong Dead

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jerod Smith and Phong Truong got it all in preflop, with Smith at risk.

Jerod Smith: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Phong Truong: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Smith was heavily dominated preflop but on a {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades} flop he has his opponent drawing dead.

"Hey straight flush we chop, I'm not greedy I'll take a chop," Smith mentioned to Truong as the {4-Spades} came on the turn.

But the {8-Spades} on the river was not the card Truong needed and Smith scored a full double up.

Huggett's Pocket Pair Holds for Knockout

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was picked up after John Huggett had put in a reraise from 55,000 to 155,000. Action landed on Ahmed Karrim, who after a few moments of thought, shoved for 750,000. Huggett, with Karrim covered, made the call.

Ahmed Karrim: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
John Huggett: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} runout offered no help to Karrim, who was sent to the rail while Huggett added to his impressive stack.

Khalili Gets There

Niveau 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kent Roman moved all in from early position and found one caller in Sohale Khalili. Both players tabled their cards, with Roman at risk.

Kent Roman: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Sohale Khalili: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Roman was a huge favorite going into the hand and the flop of {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} was great for him, but the {8-Diamonds} on the turn made his heart sink.

"Wowwww, are you kidding me?" He groaned. Roman was now drawing to a queen or a diamond to win, but the {7-Hearts} river did not deliver and he was eliminated.
